NORTH PENN 11, NESHAMINY 4

The Knights opened up a 4-1 lead after one quarter and took a 5-2 advantage into halftime. They outscored their visitors 6-2 in the second half to notch the convincing win in their SOL opener.

Jake Dolan (3 goals, 2 assists), Caleb Moister (3 goals, 1 assist) and Lars Homan (2 goals, 2 assists) turned in multiple goal efforts for the Knights. Caiden Myers, Billy Homony and Declan Lanier each added one goal. Myers also had an assist.

Matt Kuhn recorded seven saves in a winning effort in goal for the Knights.  

North Penn (3-2, 1-0 SOL) will host Council Rock South on Friday, and Neshaminy (2-2, 0-1) will travel to Springfield Township on Monday.

UPPER MORELAND 5, HATBORO-HORSHAM 4

The visiting Golden Bears trailed 3-2 heading into the final quarter when they outscored the Hatters 3-1 to earn the hard fought win in a battle of neighboring rivals.

For the Hatters, goalie Brendan Kim had 12 saves in a strong outing.

Also for the Hatters, Connor Davis had two caused turnovers and three ground balls while Hunter Long had two caused turnovers and two ground balls. Jaden Mariano had two goals while Alex Cerminara and Min Lee each had one. David Benjamin had one assist and had another successful night at the faceoff X, winning 9 of 10 faceoffs.

Upper Moreland (4-2, 1-0 SOL) will travel to Holy Ghost Prep for a non-league game on Saturday, and Hatboro-Horsham (3-1, 0-1) will be on the road at Upper Dublin on Friday.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 10, ABINGTON 9 (OT)

Nick Fareno scored an overtime goal to propel the Titans to the win in Wednesday’s non-league thriller. The goal was the fourth of a big day for Farena.

Teammate Ryan Gordon had three goals, and one assist, and Keith Conner added two goals and one assist. Reese Levinson had one goal and one assist, and Alex Fessler added an assist.

Liam Goss played a key role for the Titans, winning 10 of 13 faceoffs.

South goalie Mikey Kelly recorded nine saves in a winning effort.

Central Bucks South (2-2, 1-0 SOL) will travel to Souderton on Friday, and Abington (2-3) will host Quakertown on Friday.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 10, SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP 4

Council Rock South jumped out to a 4-0 lead in second quarter. The Spartans cut the lead to 4-1 with 1:35 left in the opening half. In the third quarter CR South stretched its lead to 8-3. The game ended with the Golden Hawks winning their fourth straight game 10-4. 
Council Rock South was led by Sal Mastromarco with three goals. Also having multi-goal games were Jake Fullerton (2 goals) and Owen Dillon (2 goals, 1 assist). Brendan Malone chipped in one goal and one assist along with Declan Cromwell (1 goal) and Wes Waininger (1 assist) also getting in the scoring column.
Contributing for the Spartans were Matt Capoferri (1 goal, 1 assist), Jaxon Weiss (1 goal, 1 assist, 5 ground balls), Jack Vechionne (1 goal, 3 ground balls), Adam Fluehr (1 goal, 3 ground balls), Eli Rubincam (1 assist, 2 ground balls) and Gabe Fluehr (1 assist, 4 ground balls).
Spartans’ goalie Patrick McMahon recorded 14 saves in a busy afternoon between the pipes.

Council Rock South (2-2, 1-0 SOL) will be on the road at North Penn on Friday, and Springfield Township (1-4, 1-0) will host Plymouth Whitemarsh on Friday.
