Pennsbury 11, Plymouth Whitemarsh 7 (Saturday, May 8)
Josh Caven scored four goals and contributed four assists while Tim Considine added the hat trick to lead the Falcons to the non-league win on Saturday. Calvin Hopkins added a pair of goals while Shawn Caven and Ricky Jutkiewicz each had a single goal.
For the Colonials, Colin Joka led the way with three goals while Andrew Cox added a pair. Zack Schulman and Pat Nolan each had a goal and an assist.
The Falcons, who led 6-4 at the end of one quarter and 9-4 by halftime, held a decisive 42-22 advantage in shots. PW goalie helped to negate that advantage with 13 saves while Pennsbury’s Drew Sweetland had nine goals.
Upper Darby 12, Souderton 7 (Saturday, May 8)
Upper Darby took a 5-2 lead into halftime and never looked back on its way to Saturday's win.
Lee Stiles led the Indians with one goal and two assists. Bryan Ziegler and Ridge Schultz each scored two goals, and Nick Judge and Graham Gedman both added single goals.
Plymouth Whitemarsh 19, Norristown 2 (Friday, May 7)
Colin Joka scored seven goals and contributed an assist to lead the Colonials to the decisive win. Patrick Kennedy added the hat trick while Zack Schulman (two assists), Gryphin Kelly and Corey Kelly (two assists) each added a pair of goals. John Walker and Craig Lowery both scored a single goal to close out the scoring. Lowery also had three assists. Shawn Kaplan had a team-high four assists while Jake Silvers had a single goal. Kevin Hennessy turned away six shots in goal.
Wissahickon 19, Cheltenham 0 (Friday, May 7)
Fifteen players got their names in the scoring column in Friday’s shutout of Cheltenham. Nick Lucchesi and Brian Dick led the way with three goals each. Dick also had three assists. A.J. Anderson had two goals and one assist) while Jeff Gebert added two goals and one assist, and Tyler Crouthers also had a pair of goals. Garret Rosiek (one assist), Brandon Irvine (two assists), Josh Stollman, Varney Dassin, and Peter Nicole all had one goal. Beau Gomez, Brian Frankenfield and Shane Ziegler each had an assist.
Peter Carrozza had a pair of saves for the Trojans in goal while starter Sean Smith was not forced to make a save.
Pennsbury 13, Council Rock South 1 (Friday, May 7)
Shawn Caven contributed two goals and four assists while Calvin Hopkins and two goals and two assists, Josh Caven (two goals, one assist) and Dan Caggia each added a pair. Ricky Jutkiewicz (one assist), Tim Considine (one assist), Ryan McDonald (one assist), Even Caterson and Luke Matthews each added single goals.
Rock South goalie Tim Bruemeer turned away six shots.
The Falcons held a 31-12 advantage in shots, a 40-10 advantage in ground balls and a 16-3 edge in face-offs.
The Falcons led 6-1 at the end of one quarter and stretched that lead to 10-1 by halftime.
