Pennsbury 11, Holy Ghost Prep 5

The two teams were deadlocked 2-2 at the end of one quarter in Saturday’s non-league game, but the Falcons outscored the Ghosts 3-1 in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 5-3 lead. They blew the game open with a 4-0 scoring burst in the third quarter – sparked by a dramatic man down goal by captain Ricky Jutkiewicz - on their way to the big Senior Night win.
Calvin Hopkins led the Falcons with four goals and one assist, and Jutkiewicz added three goals and one assist. Andrew Probst chipped in a pair of goals and one assist, and Colin Sullivan had a pair of goals. Ryan McDonald and Sean McDonald both contributed one assist.
Defensively, the Falcons were led by senior captain Dan Marr (six ground balls) and senior defenseman Sean Rinko (seven ground balls). Goalie Drew Sweetland was credited with 13 saves in the win.
North Penn 11, Easton 5
The Knights continued their winning way on Saturday.
Easton actually led 2-1 at the end of one quarter, but the Knights responded with a 4-1 second-quarter scoring burst to go into halftime with a 5-3 lead. The Knights continued their offensive onslaught in the second half, outscoring Easton 4-2 in the third quarter and 2-0 in the fourth quarter.
Dan Kohler led the Knights with the hat trick while Chris Young and Chris Anton each added a pair of goals. Anton also had two assists. Kyle Heinig, Dan Gross, Matt Brady and Matt Tappen (one assist) each added single goals. Ryan Dwyer and Tyler Mahoney both contributed one assist.
In goal, Mike Tappen had a big day, turning away 20 shots.
Ridley 5, Abington 4
The Ghosts led 2-0 at the end of one quarter in Saturday’s non-league showdown, but the Green Raiders trimmed that deficit to one by halftime (3-2) and then outscored the Ghosts 2-0 in the third quarter. That proved to be the difference in the game.
Nick Pisko scored a pair of goals while Ryan Ambler had a goal and two assists. Brian Gallagher added a single goal to close out the scoring for the Ghosts.
Anthony Greco and Austin Pifani both had six ground balls to lead the Ghost defense. Travis O’Connor was credited with 10 saves in goal.
