Central Bucks East 8, Central Bucks West 7
The Patriots took an 8-3 lead into the fourth quarter of Monday’s game, but the Bucks came roaring back with four goals in the final frame to make things interesting.
“It was a hard-fought battle – closer than we wanted,” coach Bruce Garcia said. “Sean Reilly and Chris Schneekloth did a fantastic job with face-offs.”
Warren Kuhn scored a pair of goals while Parker Self, Ryan Whitney, Connor McSherry, Chris Vetter, Matt Heim and Gill each scored single goals. Matt Brodzik had three assists while Kuhn had one assist.
Evan Gervais led the Bucks with three goals while Gabe Ferrara added a pair. Spencer Macquarrie and Jack Firriolo each contributed one goal.
Sean McSherry turned away six shots for the Patriots in goal, and West’s Jake Ross had nine saves.
The Patriots, who improved to 6-1, will face Central Bucks South on Wednesday. The Bucks are 4-2.
Hatboro-Horsham 9, Pennridge 8
Jimmy Durkin collected the hat trick while Jake Durkin and Kevin Sweeney each scored a pair of goals to lead the Hatters. Cam Wiercinski and Nick Agostinelli added single goals. Jake Durkin also had five assists, and Jimmy Murphy chipped in with two assists and Kevin Sweeney, one assist.
For Pennridge, Eric Fernandez scored four goals. Jon Matz and Matt Brown each added two goals, and Kyle McCabe contributed a single goal.
Brian White was credited with 10 saves in goal for the Rams while Marc Poust turned away nine shots in goal for the Hatters.
Souderton 14, Council Rock South 7
Tyler Macdougall led all scorers with four goals and two assists while J.P. Carroll scored five goals for the Indians, who evened their record at 3-3 (1-2 SOL). Cameron Trick added two goals and two assists, and Nick Judge, Bryan Ziegler (assist) and Tyler Zwaan each contributed a goal.
Grant Nice had a big night in goal for the Indians, turning away 15 shots.
Chichkin and Reichen each scored a pair of goals to lead Rock South.
Upper Dublin 16, Norristown 2
Sean Calhoun and Jake Naseef scored the only goals for Norristown. The Flying Cardinals were led by the six-goal effort of Willy Beury, who also had two assists. Mike Rama added four goals and one assist.
