Allentown Central Catholic 10, Central Bucks East 8
The Patriots jumped out to a 4-1 lead at the end of one quarter and still led 6-4 at halftime, but ACC rallied to knot the score 7-7 after three quarters and outscored the Patriots 3-1 in the final quarter to earn the win.
Brenden Coleman, Chris Vetter and Matt Brodzik each scored two goals for the Patriots while Warren Kuhn and Ryan Whitney added single goals. Whitney, Brodzik and Parker Self each contributed assists.
Standout defenders for East were Wes French and Zac Bitzer. Nick Andris and McSherry combined for nine saves in goal for the Patriots.
The Patriots will face Holy Ghost Prep in a non-league game on Monday.
