William Tennent captured the title at the Red Rover Tournament on Saturday at Easton High School on Saturday. The team compiled a 7-2 record in pool play and then defeated Northampton in the semifinals before downing SOL foe Central Bucks East in the final.
Kenny Rauchut and Nick Gross led the team in kills while Justin Keeny and Mike Sweeney, according to coach Jim Creighton, made some spectacular plays on defense. Strong serving was provided by Jake McMahon and Brian Ebert. In the middle, John Ferrell and Steve Van Der Mooren came up big at the net while Mike Excell, according to the Panthers’ coach, did a great job setting.
