SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (3-18-25)

WISSAHICKON 3, BENSALEM 1 (28-26, 25-21, 20-25, 25-20)

The Trojans traveled for a tough non-conference match against the short-handed Bensalem Owls who were missing 2 starters.  The first set was indicative of the intensity of the match with the Trojans pulling out a 28-26 win.  Set 2 was also very competitive with the Trojans securing a 25-21 win.  The Owls battled back and secured the 3rd set win, 25-21.  The Wiss boys refocused their efforts in the 4th set and secured the match win 25-20. 
Leading the way for the Trojans were seniors Aiden Robinson(14 Kills, 3 Blocks), Nate Oh(24 Assists, 2 Kills) and Jack Childs (8 Assists) and juniors: Reed Harris(12 Kills, 13 Assists, 4 Aces, 2 Blocks)  and Jonas Sabia(12 Kills). 

For the Owls, Roman Walsh (18 kills 8 digs), Shivam Patel (14 kills 5 digs) Ethan Choi (11 digs) led the way. Nand Patel was called up to set filling in big shoes for former all-league setter Veer Patel who is dealing with an injury. He finished the game with (40 assists 3 aces).
Up next for the Trojans (2-0) is their first SOL match against archrival Upper Dublin Cardinals on Friday. Bensalem (0-2) will host Academy of Palumbo Wednesday.

NESHAMINY 3, NORTHEAST 2 (25-18, 21-25, 25-23, 19-25, 15-11)
Neshaminy coach Pat Klingerman reached an impressive milestone, notching the 100th win of his career. He is now the all-time leader in career victories in program history.
Northeast didn’t make it easy, extending the Redskins to five sets.

"Northeast is a very well coached team,” Klingerman said. “Brian does a great job getting them ready to compete at a high level. The atmosphere was electric at Northeast. They have some really good hitters, and their libero was excellent all night.
“They will go very far this season in their district. Happy to come out of there with a victory.”
