CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, NORTH PENN 1 (11-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-17)
The Knights rolled to a decisive 25-11 win in game one of Friday’s SOL match, but any thoughts that this would be an easy night for North Penn went out the window when the Bucks battled back to win a tightly-contested third game and then went on to win three straight.
Mike Fehrs led the Bucks with 16 kills while Christian Rupert added 15 kills and four blocks. Matt Hennigan had 28 assists.
QUAKERTOWN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-13)
Ryan Mease had another big night at the net for the Panthers, slamming home 15 kills. Nick Grossov added seven kills, and Casey Fosbenner had five kills while Josh Morgan added four kills and Mike Whittington, three kills. Alex Palmer had three service aces, and setter Nate Stout had 31 assists.
PENNRIDGE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-20)
Ryan Chinnici had a huge night at the net, delivering 17 kills. He also came up big defensively, contributing 12 digs. Mike Bollinger added eight kills, and Kolby Smith had six kills, six digs and four aces. Austin McVaugh had 45 assists while Christian Lizana had 12 digs for the Rams, who improved to 3-0.
EMMAUS 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-21)
The Indians hung tough in Friday’s match against the state’s eighth-ranked squad but couldn’t get over the hump. Chris Kluka led the Indians at the net with six kills and three blocks. Andrew Diesel also had six kills to go along with one block. Gabe Clemmer added five kills and five digs. Greg Mazza led the Indians defensively with 11 digs while Brett Rawa had six digs.
The Indians (2-1) return to action on Monday when they will travel to Central Bucks South.
