COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0  (25-17, 25-18, 25-9)

The Indians rolled to a sweep of their neighboring rival.

They used a team effort in the win. Anthony DePalo had seven kills and three digs. Nick Alleborn had six kills and two blocks. Setter Dylan Van Schaick contributed 12 assists to go with two aces. Jack DePalo also had three aces. Nick Circincione led the defense with 16 digs as well as two aces. Brady Klein had two aces, two kills and three digs.

Council Rock North (7-2, 5-1 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks South for a non-league match on Thursday.

 

Monday, April 11

ABINGTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0

Using a balanced team effort, the Ghosts earned a sweep of the Titans.

“Tonight was a solid effort from the entire team. We know our goals and where we want to be,” Abington coach Jason Barshinger said. “This was an important win as we head into spring break.”

Xavier Voit had nine kills, one assist, one dig and 1.5 blocks, and Zach Miller had eight kills and one ace. Setter Colin Mulvihill had 20 assists, one kill and five digs. Jake Kosik’s 10 digs led the defense. He also had one ace.

Also making contributions were Ben Holler (2 kills, 2 aces, 2 digs), Michael Lyou (1 kill, 1 dig), Joe Clark (1 kill), Patrick McBride (2 digs), Shaun Bustin (1 dig, 1 block), Myles Winegrad (3 kills, 3 digs) and Dominic DaSilva (1 dig, .5 block). Mario D’Alessio had one dig.

UPPER DUBLIN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1

Benjamin Dorsey had a huge all-around performance, contributing 16 kills, five aces, one assist and six digs. Setter Cole Brown had 24 assists , seven digs and three aces. Terrell Turner had nine kills, one assist, four digs and one block, and David Levin – who had a superb serving match - contributed eight kills, nine aces, three assists and nine digs. Ari Weiner had two kills, one ace and one dig.

Upper Dublin (7-2, 6-0 SOL) will host Central Bucks South next Tuesday, and Central Bucks East (6-3, 5-2) will host Pennridge on Tuesday.

 

SOUDERTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 1 (25-14, 22-25, 25-20, 25-22)

Nate Brown’s 16-kill effort helped propel the Indians to the win over the visiting Titans.

Also for the Indians, JC Peacock added six kills and six service aces. Tobie Lias had three kills and Derek Gilmore had two.

For the Titans, setters Josh Conley (14 assists) and Sam Snyder (12 assists) spread the ball around to the hitters. Ben Grove led the offense with 10 kills, and Will Tantum led the defense with 20 digs.

Souderton (3-4, 3-3 SOL) will host Neshaminy on Wednesday, and Central Bucks South (0-8, 0-6) will host Council Rock North on Thursday.

 

PENNRIDGE 3, NORTH PENN 1 (25-27, 25-21, 25-18, 25-19)

The visiting Rams lost a grueling first set but then rallied to win the next three.

Setter Riley Kodidek had a huge night with 42 assists, 12 digs and two blocks. Jude Rotondo’s 14 kills led the Rams. Thomas McKinney had 12 kills, 12 digs and five blocks. Tyler Johnson had nine kills, two blocks and four aces while Nick Smith contributed eight kills and four blocks. Alex Derk’s 14 digs led the defense. He also had two aces. Ty Porter had eight digs.

For the Knights, junior setter Josh Kim led the way with 20 assists and four aces. Senior Vedant Patel led the Knights at the net with six kills while junior Ryan Haung led the defense with 19 digs. Senior Brian Landes contributed with 17 assists and four steals. Senior middle Aaron Foulke helped the cause with six kills.

Pennridge (5-1 SOL) will be on the road at Central Bucks East next Tuesday. North Penn (3-6, 2-4) will travel to Quakertown next Tuesday.
