SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap: 4-14-10

Pennridge 3, Central Bucks West 0 (25-7, 25-22, 25-23)

The Rams improved to 7-0 with a win over the Bucks that saw many players get significant action.
Derek Kemmerer came off the bench to deliver eight kills and five digs. Erik Moyer and Cory Chinnici both had six kills. Jake Braun led the defense with 10 digs while Nate Lear had four digs and two aces. Setter Will Jager had 19 assists, and his back-up, Matt Trumbower, had 10 assists.
Central Bucks East 3, Central Bucks South (25-17, 25-27, 27-25, 22-25, 15-9)*
The Patriots won a marathon match against their neighboring rival.
Jeff Sharp led South offensively with 19 kills on the night, 15 digs on defense and added two aces.  John Clemens stepped up defensively with 20 digs and added 11 kills.  Kevin Williams followed with 13 kills, 5.5 blocks and four aces.  Setter Colin McNamee tallied 52 assists throughout the night. 
South came out slow in its first game, and East was able to take advantage with a convincing 25-17 win in game one.  South rebounded in the second game to win a hard fought 27-25 game to even the match.  CB East struck back in game three with a 27-25 victory to take a 2-1 lead in the match.  Led by Jeff Sharp’s offense in the fourth game and key digs by John Clemens and Keith Mecutchen, South pulled out a 25-22 victory in game four to force a fifth game.  In the fifth game South jumped out to an early lead 4-0 before East fought back to even the score late in the match.  East was able to play inspired defense and take advantage of South’s unforced errors to take the final game 15-9.
