UPPER DUBLIN 3, PENNRIDGE 0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-21)
The Cardinals swept the visiting Rams in three sets.
Albert Sungenis led the Cardinals at the net with 10 kills, one block, one dig and two aces. Mario Petushi added seven kills, one block and three digs. Blake Bayles (four kills, two blocks), Grant Molloy (two kills, one block) and Liam Nielsensultz (two kills, three blocks) also contributed. Setter Ryan Howie had 24 assists, seven digs, two blocks and one ace. Jose Palomeque led the defense with eight digs and one assist while Joe Choi added seven digs.
For the Rams, Cross Edwards (eight kills), Zach Detweiler (five kills, two blocks) and Kevin Jones (five kills, five digs) led the attack. Setter Tommy Cassel had 16 assists.
Pennridge (4-4, 4-3 SOL) will host Central Bucks West on Wednesday.
QUAKERTOWN 3, CHELTENHAM 0 (25-16, 25-10, 25-11)
Quakertown rolled to a sweep of the visiting Panthers.
Logan Spieker (11 kills, three digs, four aces) and Josh Moyer (eight kills, two blocks, two digs) led the host Panthers at the net. Graham Wilson added four kills and three aces while Justin Flor and Ben Ocamb both had three kills. Flor also had a pair of assists. Zac Mahler’s five digs led the defense, and he also led the Panthers’ service game with six aces. Setter Drew Stout had 20 assists.
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, NORTH PENN 0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-22)
The Bucks earned a straight set win over the visiting Knights.
For the Knights, Isaac Lambert had six kills, one block and two digs, and Alex Stoler added five kills, two aces, three digs and one block. Setter Ryan Ko had 20 assists, six digs and three blocks.
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, DOCK MENNONITE ACADEMY (25-20, 25-19, 25-13)
Setter Nick Baniewicz handed out 14 assists and also had two aces and one dig. Leading the Indians at the net were Jack Gunshenan (eight kills, 1.5 blocks, one dig) and Brady Haggerty (six kills, two blocks). Also contributing to a balanced attack were Harry Wyatt (four kills, one dig, one ace, one block), Sean Helmlinger (four kills, one ace, one block, one assist), Sean Helmlinger (four kills, one ace, one block, one assist), Keven D’Arcy (four kills) and Justin Walton (two kills, two aces, one dig, one block). Alex Borman (five digs), Eddie Mancinelli (two digs) and Grant Shieh (two digs) led the Indians defensively. Nick Ripans had one ace and Will Hewitt, .5 block.
Council Rock North (6-1, 3-1 SOL) will travel to Neshaminy on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match.
