NESHAMINY 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 2 (22-25, 25-22, 25-20, 21-25, 15-9)
The Redskins won a grueling five-set match against the host Panthers.
Ben McGonagle had a big night at the net, leading the Redskins with 13 kills, four digs and two blocks. Steven Wenderlich also was a force at the net with 12 kills to go along with two service aces. Matt Schwab contributed six kills, two aces and five digs, Tony Camillo added five kills and five blocks while Jesse Marshall had five blocks, three kills, one assist and one ace.
Setter JD Palmieri had 35 assists and one ace. Alex Swiderski had seven digs, and Bert Shen added two kills.
QUAKERTOWN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-15)
The Panthers earned a sweep of the visiting Titans.
Logan Spieker led the Panthers with 16 kills, two aces and nine digs. Josh Moyer (three kills, six digs), Cameron Cronk (two kills, 3.5 blocks), Nathan Barholz (three kills, seven digs) and Justin Flor (six kills, three aces, 1.5 blocks) also contributed. Setter Zach Frei had 23 assists and six digs.
COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, BENSALEM 0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-19)
The Golden Hawks edged the Owls in a tightly-contested opening set on their way to a sweep.
Andrew Richards led the Hawks with 11 kills, two aces, nine digs and one block. Shane Slivinski added seven kills, one ace and five digs, and Jay Ferrara had six kills, two assists, eight digs and one block. Dane Paulson contributed five kills and six digs. Thomas Rodman shared the team lead with eight digs. Dylan Baptiste had three kills while Jake Leonard had one kill and one block.
SOUDERTON 3, CHELTENHAM 0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-19)
The Indians rolled to a sweep of the Panthers on Friday.
“We started out strong at the net and played with good focus,” coach Dave Stastny said.
