The visiting Patriots earned a sweep of the Rams in Friday’s Continental Conference battle.
Leading the Patriots was Carter Haban with 16 kills, three blocks, four aces and 13 digs. Dylan Colbert accumulated 10 kills, two aces and 13 digs. The offense was directed by setter Steve Storm, who tallied 29 assists, two aces, four digs and two kills. Defensively, East was bolstered by Jacob LaBouliere with 12 digs and four assists. Andrew Bennett pounded six kills and also had five digs, and Christian Wolf (three kills, two blocks, two digs) and Thomas Gallagher-Teske (one kill, two blocks) were solid at the net.
For the Rams, Cross Edwards (seven kills, eight digs) and Zach Detweiler (seven kills, two blocks) led the way. Kevin Jones added five kills, and Ethan Lionetti had three. Jeremy Pruss had nine digs to lead the defense, and setter Corey Quaste had 20 assists and two blocks.
