Pennridge 3, Upper Dublin 0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-14)
Just one win separates Pennridge from a perfect regular season after Monday’s sweep of an improved Upper Dublin squad that battled to the end.
“They are definitely better than they had been,” Ram coach Dave Childs said. “They have a couple of middles that can play.
“Everyone that went in today for us – they did what they do at practice, and that’s what I expect. They all know what they’re doing. They can go in and execute.”
The Rams are coming off a final four finish in the Dallastown Tournament on Saturday.
“We didn’t do as well as I would have liked, but we got to see a couple of things we need to work on,” Childs said. “It pointed out some of our weak areas.
“Practice is going to be real important the next week to really improve on those things.”
In Monday’s win, Austin Jacoby led the Rams with 14 kills, four blocks and eight digs. Zech States added nine kills. Derek Polito had six blocks in the middle of the net while Erik Moyer had five kills and four blocks.
