SOL National Conference

 

Bensalem 3, Council Rock South 0

The Owls closed out their regular season with a sweep of the Golden Hawks.

Dhruv Patel had 24 assists, two aces and one kill.  Tyler Hoang (8 kills 2 blocks) and Jack Wineburg (6 kills) led the offensive attack.  Shane Czop (4 kills), Adam Nevrotski (3 kills) and Om Patel (3 kills) also played well.  Zach Czarnecki had two aces.  The Owls finish the regular season at 12-6.

 

SOL American Conference

 

Upper Dublin 3, Abington 0 (25-21, 25-23, 27-25)

The Flying Cardinals clinched sole possession of the conference title with their hard fought sweep of the Ghosts.

Trevor Molloy’s 14 kills and 21 digs led the Cardinals. Setter Spencer Beidner had 36 assists, 11 digs, three blocks, two kills and one ace. Sean Bainbridge added 12 digs while Sean Seabrook had nine digs, three aces and one kill. David Levin added seven kills, one block, 13 digs and one ace. Colin Dowell (five kills, six blocks) and Collin Ross (six kills, two blocks) also were a force at the net.

For the Ghosts, Leo Presta dished out 17 assists to six different hitters. Sam Miller had seven kills, Zach Miller, four kills, Myles Winegrad, one kill, Sebastian Skenderi, five kills, Bryce Lexow six kills and Xavier Voit, one kill. Sean Dougherty had 20 digs, Myles Winegrad and Leo Presta also added six digs each. Middles Sebastian Skenderi and Bryce Lexow had a big night with six blocks each.

Upper Dublin closed out its conference season with a 13-1 mark. The Cards were 19-1 overall.

 

Central Bucks West 3, North Penn 2

 

Non-league

Council Rock North 3, Quakertown 0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-22)

The Indians notched a no-doubt-about-it sweep of the Panthers in a non-league contest.

Justin Burns led the Indians with 14 kills, eight digs and two blocks. Brady Klein added six kills, nine digs and one ace, and CJ Horan had eight kills, one block and four digs. Martin Nguyen led the defense with 14 digs and one ace, and Abe Eldo had 10 digs. Geoff Sandhanamudi (1 ace, 20 assists, 6 digs) and Dylan Vanschaick (1 ace, 20 assists, 6 digs) split setting duties. Riley Campbell added three kills and two blocks.

For the Panthers, Micah Reinford had 10 kills, nine digs, two blocks and one ace, and Jared Leatherman added four kills, one block and eight digs. Zander Marks had a team high seven blocks as well as four kills and 10 digs. Setter Cody Steiert had 11 assists, one blocks and seven digs. Kurt Glaeser had seven digs, Andrew Sturgess, one kill and four digs, Isaac Moises, three blocks, and Zane Smith, four digs.

 

Pennridge 3, Dock Mennonite 0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-23)

The Rams earned a sweep of their neighboring rival in a non-league match.

Ryan Benscoter turned in another standout effort with 21 kills, three blocks and four aces. Tyler Johnson added six kills, and Thomas McKinney had four kills and five digs. Skyler Ammon had three kills and two aces. Setter Riley Kodidek had 31 assists and two kills. Dan Detwiler had six digs.

Pennridge closed out its regular season with a 14-2 record.

 

William Tennent 3, Lansdale Catholic 0

The Panthers celebrated Senior Night with a sweep of the visiting Crusaders.

Kellan Johnson had seven kills and one ace, Mike Carr added three aces and four kills, Mo Djabri had three kills and two blocks, Ben Weir finished with three aces and one kill, and Trey Mannon had three aces and seven digs. Setter Dylan Whisler had 11 digs, two blocks and 19 assists.

 

Haverford 3, Central Bucks South 0

The Titans closed out the season with a non-league loss to the Fords.

“It’s been a tough year with new players and injuries to where we put out a different lineup each match,” South coach Matt Ehlers said. “We tried to be fair with the playing time today as this was the last match for several seniors.  We also wanted to get some of our core group of younger players in for some experience geared toward next season.”

Will Tantum led the defense with 12 digs.  Freshman outside hitter Ben Grove led the offense with five kills and also serving with three aces and five points.  Freshman setter Josh Conley came in and got three assists and two digs in set two.
