The Patriots used Friday’s non-league match as an opportunity to give time to a long list of players.
Reid Miller led the Patriots at the net with 11 kills to go along with one block and one dig. Matt LaBouliere added eight kills, 10 assists, two blocks and seven digs. Others contributing were Justin Berger (1 kill, 2 digs), Steve DiRugeris (8 digs, 1 ace), Liam Donnelly (1 block, 1 dig), Sean Figus (1 kill, 1 dig), Pat Haurin (2 aces, 3 digs, 1 kill), Aiden Leichter (2 digs, 5 assists), (Kurt Patel (2 digs), Ethan Scott (1 dig, 1 kill), Evan Blank (1 kill), Ryan Coxey (1 ace, 1 kill, 4 assists), A.J. Helveston (4 kills, 5 digs), Rhys Marshall (10 assists, 5 digs), Reid Miller (11 kills, 1 block, 1 dig), Shane Sutton (3 kills, 1 block), Brady Colbert (9 digs) and Jack Kukula (1 ace, 1 block)
Central Bucks East 11-5, 9-4 SOL) will travel to Abington on Monday for a non-league match, and Council Rock South (1-16, 1-12) will be on the road at Pennsbury on Tuesday.
BENSALEM 3, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 0
Bensalem rolled to a sweep of the Crusaders to improve to 16-2. The Owls were led by Bruce Bell’s six kills, four aces and three blocks. Middle Vraj Patel had five kills. Veer Patel had 37 assists, distributing to a balanced attack. Right sides Jahaan Patel (8 kills) and Parth Patel (3 kills) played well for Bensalem. Dev Patel (7 kills), Jack Wineburg (11 kills) and Roman Walsh (2 kills) all made plays at the net on the outside.
Bensalem hosts Central on Monday.
DOCK MENNONITE ACADEMY 3, PENNRIDGE 1 (26-28, 25-21, 25-20, 25-22)
In a spirited non-league match between the neighboring rivals, the Pioneers defeated the Rams.
Setter Evan Jalosinski handed out 44 assists and also had two aces. Bryce Ammon (12 kills, 3 blocks, 2 aces), Jude Rotondo (12 kills, 6 digs, 2 aces), Thomas McKinney (10 kills, 6 digs, 3 blocks), Logan Jalosinski (7 kills, 7 digs, 2 aces) and Aaron Ladd (5 kills, 4 blocks) all made important contributions at the net. Ty Porter (8 digs) and Pharaoh Dale (5 digs) led the defense.
Pennridge (12-3, 12-1 SOL) will travel to Souderton on Tuesday.
