SOUDERTON 3, PENNRIDGE 0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-22)
Souderton traveled to Pennridge Friday night for a regular season ending rivalry match.
The Indians came out fired up, fighting to move their way into position to host a home district playoff game, the first one since 2018, and they beat the Rams in three straight sets.
Sawyer Jones led the Indians offense with 17 kills, and Derek Stefenowicz was right behind him with 15 kills of his own. Gabe Williams ran the offense and dished out 38 assists. Defensively, the Indians dig everything they could to keep the ball off the floor and Sawyer Jones, Connor Basile and Gabe Williams each had eight digs, while Derek Stefanowicz and Krish Patel both added five more.
For the Rams, Owen Smith had 23 assists. Bryce Ammon led the way with 17 kills while Logan Jalosinski had nine.
With the win the Indians end the regular season 16-4 (12-4 SOL) and will now host a first round home playoff game against Haverford Tuesday at 6:30pm. Pennridge closed out its regular season with a 14-2 record.
