PAUL SHORT HIGH SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY, Lehigh University
Pennsbury captured the team title in the 44-team Girls’ Brown Division, finishing with 97 points to edge second place Cardinal O’Hara (108). Central Bucks West (350) finished seventh, and Pennridge was 19th. Central Bucks South was 28th while Quakertown was 40th.
Pennridge’s Marissa Sheva finished first out of 376 runners to capture the individual title, edging Cumberland Valley’s Mady Clahane with a time of 17:34. In addition to Sheva, Pennsbury’s Olivia Sargent (17:52), Hannah Molloy (18:30), Meridith Twomey (18:35), Bailey Balmer (19:02), Rachel Estey (19:13), Erin O’Connell (19:20 and Maddie Sauer (19:25), Pennridge’s Julia Foster (19:36) as well as CB West’s Maddie Villalba (18:45) and CB South’s Brynn Mulloy (19:40) all turned in performances that met the national silver standard.

Cheltenham finished 21st out of 30 teams in the Girls’ White Division. Sarah Richart finished 20th with a time of 19:47, and teammate Catherine Kluchinski (20:50) was 55th. Owen J. Roberts finished first, and Downingtown East was second.
Bensalem (27th), Neshaminy (31st) and Central Bucks South (34th) competed in the 41-team Boys’ Brown Division of the Paul Short Invitational that saw 374 runners complete the course. Malvern Prep, Cumberland Valley and Easton finished first, second and third, respectively. CB South’s Matt Scarpill (16:18), Bensalem’s Tyji (16:20) and Rahi Shah (16:30) all posted times that met the national silver standard.

The North Penn Maidens finished first in the three-team Varsity Girls Championship Division, edging Carlisle and Caesar Rodney. North Penn also captured the team title in the six-team Junior Varsity ‘B’ Division, led by the first place finish of freshman Daelin Brown. The Maidens finished second in the 15-team Junior Varsity ‘A’ Division.
