Boys

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 18, ALLENTOWN CENTRAL CATHOLIC 11
East beat Allentown Central Catholic in a non-league contest in Doylestown on Saturday. The Patriots struck first and never looked back, opening up a 5-2 lead after one quarter and taking a 9-6 lead into halftime.
The Patriots spread the ball around with eight different goal scorers. Seniors Matt Milici and Matt Schmidt led the scoring for East with five goals each. Milici also had four assists and Schmidt, one.
Matt Heim and Matt Brown each had two goals. Heim added three assists. Matt Vetter, Dustin Buchanan, Ryan Brown and Jason Achenbach each had one goal. Vetter added three assists.
East won 12 of 29 face-offs. Sean McGovern was credited with six saves. Defensively, the Patriots were led by Dustin Buchanan (six ground balls, four caused turnovers), Matt Heim (six ground balls, one caused turnover), Tyler Butler (three ground balls, three caused turnovers), Zach Nelson (three ground balls), Mike Eveland (three ground balls) and Will Dempster (one ground ball, four caused turnovers).
Ryan Beville and Jack Glemser led ACC with four goals each. Beville also had nine ground balls while Glemser had four.
The Patriots, who are 1-1, will open SOL play on Tuesday with a night game at Hatboro-Horsham.

NORTH PENN 11, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 6
The Knights were led by the offensive performances of Matt Brady (three goals, two assists) and Scott Keffer (three goals, three assists). Sawyer Koch (one goal, one assist), Zack McKelvie (two goals), Jake Diamond (one goal), Harrison Barclay (one goal) and Kyle Hulmes (one assist) also got into the scoring column for the Knights.

RADNOR 14, ABINGTON 8
Matt Gormley connected for the hat trick while Cameron Leech had one goal and four assists to lead the Ghosts attack. Joey Lomady (two goals, one assist), Hunter Jones (two assists), Will Dulin (one goal) and Brian Gallagher (one goal, one assist) also contributed offensively.
Goalie Blake Friedman turned away 13 shots for the Ghosts, who are 1-1 on the young season.

ARCHBISHOP WOOD 12, PENNSBURY 3
Zach Abraham scored a pair of goals, and teammate John Conte added a goal while Matt Anderson had one assist. Jack Kenney was credited with six saves in goal for the Falcons.

ABINGTON 14, DOWNINGTOWN WEST 8 (Friday, March 21)
Cameron Leech had a hand in six goals in Friday’s win, contributing two goals and four assists. Joe Lomady had the hat trick to go along with one assist while Hunter Jones and Will Dulin both had two goals and two assists. John Wink had two goals and one assist. Brian Gallagher added a single goal to close out the scoring.
Blake Friedman was credited with eight saves in goal.

Girls

NORTH PENN 9, RIDLEY 8 (OT)
Sydney Lear scored the game winner in overtime, propelling the Maidens – who led 4-3 at the intermission - to the dramatic win. Lear finished the game with a pair of goals and four draw controls.
Ashley Durham connected for the hat trick. Emily Schulze also had two goals and four draw controls. Jen DeLongis and Julia Keffer each had one goal. Julianna Hill added an assist.
Goalie Michelle Dyck was credited with 10 saves.

UPPER MORELAND 18, LOWER MORELAND (Friday, March 21)
Nine players contributed scoring for the Golden Bears. Delaney Smith led the way with four goals and two assists. Syd Bachmayer added three goals. Coach Pam Remmey credited Melissa Felicetti for playing great defense while scoring two goals. Maura O'Leary and Ashley Duff also added two goals apiece. Remmey also credited Sarah Reice and Melanie Wittick for playing well on defense and Veronica Baez and Maura O'Leary for their strong play in the midfield.
