SOL Boys/Girls Lacrosse Wrap (3-25-17)

Boys
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 6, WEST CHESTER RUSTIN 5
Joey Rockovich connected for a hat trick to lead the Bucks to a win in Saturday’s non-league home opener. Shane Early had a hand in four goals, scoring two and assisting on two others. Brandon Gervais added a single goal while Erik Ojert had an assist.
Max Dunar had a big game in goal for the Bucks, turning away 12 shots in a winning effort. Nick Werner and Brandon Gervais led the defense with five and four goals respectively.
The two teams were deadlocked 1-1 after one quarter, but the Bucks scored a pair to go into halftime with a 3-1 lead. Rustin made it a one-goal game heading into the fourth quarter (5-4). Each team scored one goal in the final quarter as the Bucks held on to earn the win.
West held an 18-14 advantage in shots.

Girls
HARRITON 15, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3
The Patriots opened their season with a non-league contest against a powerful Harriton squad. Molly McDonough (five goals, one assist) and Greta Stahl (four goals, six assists) led the Rams potent attack.
Riley Forman, Brigitte Bishop and Whitney Dietz each scored a goal for the Patriots.
Lauren Maurer recorded six saves in goal for the Patriots.
