SOL Boys/Girls Lacrosse Wrap (3-30-19)

Check out the recaps for SOL boys/girls lacrosse teams in action Saturday.

Boys
NESHAMINY 12, MARPLE NEWTOWN 9
Luke Sermarini had four goals and assisted on another to lead the Redskins to their third straight win after dropping their season opener.
“Luke Sermarini continued his outstanding play with a fourth consecutive multi-goal performance,” coach John Donato said.
Noah Weiman and Connor McVey both had two goals and one assist. Jeremy Sheley also added a pair of goals.
“Jeremy Sheley contributed in multiple ways – as a LSM playing wing and defense with his long pole while collecting four ground balls and with his short pole scoring two goals, one dodging from the X behind and one fired from up top,” Donato said.
Nick Donato and Ryan Maher each scored single goals.
“Ryan Maher scored a key goal and played strong middie defense,” Donato said.
Dawson Obringer dished out a pair of assists.
“Dawson Obringer was again a factor at the face-off X while collecting five ground balls and being a force on both the offensive and defensive midfield,” said Donato, going on to acknowledge the strong play of his defense. “Neshaminy’s back line long pole defense of Preston Backhaus, Doug Lang, Bobby Blum and Thomas Fitch played well throughout, especially in the final six minutes stifling any attempts of a Marple Newtown comeback.”
