Boys Lacrosse

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 12, UNIONVILLE 5
The Patriots blew open a close game, turning a 5-4 halftime lead into a seven-goal win. East led 3-2 at the end of one quarter and took that one-goal lead into the intermission before outscoring the Indians 4-1 in the third quarter.
Senior Chris Vetter led the Patriots with five goals and one assist, and Matt Milici added the hat trick and a pair of assists. Parker Self contributed a pair of goals while Matt Heim and Ethan Debuque both added a goal and assist. Zach Kane, Brian Garcia, Bryan Schwartz and Cole Rushworth each had an assist.
Harrison Holak was credited with nine saves in goal for the Patriots, who held a 46-21 advantage in shots.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 7, INTERBORO 5
The Golden Hawks improved to 3-0 on the young season with a hard-fought non-league win. Tim Bruemmer saved the day for the Golden Hawks, turning away 29 shots in a stellar performance in goal. Nick Gugliemi and Kyle Walter led the offense with two goals each, and Corey Giampietro added one goal and three assists. Shane Magrann and Dmitriy Proshlyakov each added a goal. Shane Magrann won eight out of eight face-offs, and Colin Patterson won seven out of eight face-offs.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 13, MANHEIM TOWNSHIP 6
The two teams found themselves deadlocked 2-2 after one quarter, but the Hatters blew the game wide open with a 5-0 explosion in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 7-2 lead. They outscored Manheim 6-4 in the second half.
Jake Durkin (one assist), Pat Downing and Jimmy Murphy (two assists) each connected for the hat trick. Trevor Downing added two goals and one assist. Dom DeFazio and Connor Kreston both scored single goals. Steve Palo and Ben Cellini each contributed an assist.
DeFazio led the team in ground balls with seven, and Mark Poust recorded 22 saves in a busy afternoon in goal.

NORRISTOWN 9, CONWELL EGAN 6
Sean Calhoun and Jesse Prante both scored the hat trick to lead the Eagles. Calhoun also had a pair of assists and Prante, one assist. Justin Roccia contributed two goals and two assists while Drew Baltrus had one goal and one assist. Eric Sylvester had one assist.

ARCHBISHOP RYAN 7, NESHAMINY 6
Gary Tippy and Matt Magdelinskas both scored a pair of goals while Alex McKenzie and Andy MacDonald (one assist) each added a single goal. John Bickle and Mike Pfender both contributed an assist. Austin Marshall was credited with 10 saves in goal.

Girls Lacrosse

UPPER MORELAND 22, LOWER MORELAND 9
The Golden Bears blew open a close game by outscoring the Lion 14-4 in a dominant second half performance. Maddie Mauro (five goals, one assist) and Veronica Baez (four goals, three assists) both delivered huge performances while Ashley Duff (two assists), Kathryn Brunner (one assist), Sarah Reice and Lily Sgro each connected for the hat trick. Sami Wojciechowski scored one goal and was credited with three assists. Kaitlin Taylor turned away seven shots in goal for the Golden Bears, who evened their record at 1-1.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 9, DOWNINGTOWN WEST 8
The Indians won their third one-goal game in as many outings, this time downing the host Whippets for the important win. The win came on the heels of an 8-7 win over North Penn on Monday and an 11-10 win over Bayard Rustin on Tuesday. Kara Magley led the Indians with four goals while Hannah Plappert contributed three goals and one assist. Molly Doyle added a goal and an assist, and Natalie Maher scored a single goal. Taylor Beck turned away eight shots in goal for the Indians. The Whippets held a 16-14 edge in shots.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 19, PENNRIDGE 7
Lizzy Carr scored five goals and contributed a pair of assists, and Nicole Beck, Julie McKay and Courtnee Daley all added hat tricks. Beck also had two assists and McKay added one assist. Rachel Rausa contributed two goals and three assists while Caroline Hagan added two assists, and Casey Swezey and Annette Dispio had one goal each.
