GIRLS’ SOCCER
Neshaminy 5, Central Bucks South 2
The Titans sprinted to a 2-0 lead 10 minutes into Wednesday’s game only to watch the Redskins reel off five unanswered goals. Megan Schafer led the ‘Skins offensive assault with three goals and an assist.
“I made some changes pretty much right away, and I made a few more at halftime,” coach Rachel Clemens said. “We just had to get things sorted out, but I told the girls, ‘ You can’t come out and start a game like that.’ I’m glad we got the ‘W.’”
CB South used goals by Taylor Matsinger and Kelsey Mariner to go on top 2-0, but that’s when Schafer began to work her magic, scoring back-to-back goals to close out the half – the first with an Amy Mandia assist and the second with an assist from Fran Donato to send the ‘Skins into halftime deadlocked with the Titans.
Erin Farrell (Schafer assist) scored what turned out to be the game winner 15 minutes into the second half. Donato scored to make it a 4-2 game, using an assist from Gabby Farrell, and Schafer put the finishing touches on a big afternoon with a goal that was assisted by Erin Farrell.
The Redskins evened their record at 1-1 while the Titans are 0-1.

BENSALEM 4, CHELTENHAM 1
The Lady Panthers received their only goal from Emily Liebovitz.
