SOL District Boys' BB Preview (Opening Round)

Scott Huff previews the upcoming District One AAAA boys basketball games.

By Scott Huff

All of the I’s were dotted and the T’s crossed at the District One selection site at Council Rock South on Tuesday, and the PIAA Quad-A first round playoffs will begin in full swing Friday – with one exception as Central Bucks South will host Wissahickon on Thursday due to a conflict in scheduling at South with wrestling.

Thirteen Suburban One League teams will begin competition in the 32-team field for a district championship.  Ten of those 32 entries will advance to the state playoffs.  The SOL National Conference placed five teams in the field – Abington, Council Rock North, Pennsbury, Bensalem, and Truman.  The SOL American Conference placed four teams in the field – Norristown, Wissahickon, Cheltenham, and Plymouth Whitemarsh.  The SOL Continental Conference placed four teams in the field – Hatboro-Horsham, Souderton, Central Bucks South, and North Penn.

The first round games will be win or go home games – no second chances.

Good luck.
