Rock North saw its most successful run in program history come to an end in Thursday night’s District One 4A final at Unionville. The loss was the first of the season for the visiting Indians, who finished the abbreviated season with a 14-1 record.
Junior outside hitter Ashleigh Adams led the attack with 12 kills and nine digs. Junior setter Kate Logan dished out 22 assists to go along with two digs and two blocks. Senior outside hitter Mary Baniewicz contributed six kills and six digs. Senior middle hitters Julia Walton (two kills, one ace, one assist) and Sabrina Pasemann (four kills, one dig) combined for six kills. Senior libero Mikayla Adams finished with seven digs and one ace. Senior opposite hitter Cora Lake had one kill, and sophomore opposite hitter Ainsley Jordan had two digs.
Rock North finished ninth in the state. In addition to their district runner-up finish, the Indians also captured the SOL National Conference title.
