CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 35, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 6
The Titans wasted little time before seizing control of Saturday afternoon’s contest against the visiting Indians, marching 79 yards on their opening drive that culminated with Nate Norris punching it in from three yards out.
A 55-yard TD run by Sam Thompson gave the Titans a 14-0 lead at the end of one quarter, and by halftime, they led 28-0, thanks to a 13-yard touchdown run by Tyler Watson and another Norris three-yard TD run.
Rock North got on the scoreboard in the third quarter when quarterback Evan Devine took it in from four yards out.
An 88-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by South’s Casey Sloms closed out the scoring in the fourth quarter.
Thompson and Jack Johns once again split quarterback duties and proved to be double trouble for the Indians. While Thompson was burning the Indians on the ground, rushing for a team high 75 yards, Johns threw for 94 yards.
The Indians – who did not have a game last week – struggled offensively, finishing with 158 yards of total offense. Devine threw for 84 yards.
Defensively for the Titans, Matt Norris had a hand in 13 tackles - six solo. Nate Norris was credited with 12 tackles - seven solo.
With the win, the Titans became the third Central Bucks school to improve to 2-0 on the young season, joining CB West and CB East.
Central Bucks South (2-0) will be on the road at Council Rock South next Friday, and Council Rock North (1-0) will host Coatesville on Saturday.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 24, HATBORO-HORSHAM 6
With the Patriots clinging to a 7-0 lead, Brian Stella blocked a punt early in the third quarter of Saturday morning’s non-league contest. East took over on the Hatters’ six-yard line, and on the very first play from scrimmage, Stella – appropriately – took it in from six yards out. The Patriots led 14-0 and never looked back.
Barney Amor’s 26-yard field goal in the fourth quarter gave the Patriots a 17-0 advantage, and they scored their final touchdown to go on top 24-0 on an Andrew Wilson interception return of seven yards.
For the second time in as many weeks, Hatboro-Horsham averted being shut out with a late touchdown – this week on a 46-yard TD run by Calvin Broaddus.
The only score in the opening half came when Wes Verbit hauled in an 18-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Matt Szczypiorski.
Stella led all ground gainers with 65 yards.
Central Bucks East (2-0) will host Methacton next Saturday while Hatboro-Horsham (0-2) will host Souderton on Friday night.
