COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 49, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 34
Alex Wheatley scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Golden Hawks to the decisive win at Sunday’s Blue Star Classic that was held at Upper Dublin High School. The Golden Hawks led 17-3 at the end of one quarter and took a 33-10 lead into halftime.

RIVERDALE BAPTIST 70, UPPER DUBLIN 48
Lauren Rothfeld scored 16 points to lead the Flying Cardinals against nationally-ranked Riverdale Baptist in Sunday’s Blue Star Classic. Riverdale is ranked second in the nation.

ABINGTON 31, LOWER MERION 21 (Saturday, Jan. 14)
Senior Sarah Listenbee scored 10 points and captured team MVP honors in the Ghosts’ win at Saturday’s Scholastic Play-by-Play Classic. Teammates Aiyannah Peal and Michael Harris both added six points. The Ghosts led 10-5 at the end of one quarter and never looked back, opening up a 17-9 lead at halftime on their way to the win.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 47, OUR LADY OF MERCY 14 (Saturday, Jan. 14)
Senior Taylor Hunt took advantage of a rare opportunity to start in Saturday’s Scholastic Play-by-Play Classic at Philadelphia University, contributing 11 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Hunt earned team MVP honors for the Hawks.
“She played really well,” coach Monica Stolic said. “I was real happy for Taylor.”
Alex Wheatley added 13 points and 12 rebounds while point guard Alexis Hofstaedter had five assists.

CHELTENHAM 56, CENTRAL 33 (Saturday, Jan. 14)
Ciara ‘CC’ Andrews scored 30 points – 22 in the first half – as the Lady Panthers sprinted to a 37-15 halftime lead on their way to the decisive win. Christina Coleman added 12 points for the Lady Panthers.

PREP CHARTER 53, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 29 (Saturday, Jan. 14)
Prep Charter took a 32-10 lead into halftime on its way to the decisive win. Emily Grundman led the Indians with 16 points while Alyssa Dumont added seven in a contest that saw just four Rock North players contribute scoring. Grundman also had seven rebounds and two blocks.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 43, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 36 (Saturday, Jan. 14)
Lindsey Kelly scored a game-high 20 points while teammates Shannon Devlin and Lexi Scrivano both scored seven points to lead the Patriots. Simone Jacques, who had a pair of three-pointers, led the Colonials with 17 points while Egypt Thompson added 11.
The two teams were deadlocked 9-9 after one quarter, but East used a 15-6 second quarter to go into halftime with a 24-15 lead. The Colonials outscored the Patriots 21-19 in the second half, but it wasn’t enough.

PENNSBURY 43, VILLA JOSEPH MARIE 35 (Saturday, Jan. 14)
The Falcons received a pair of huge performances from Jae Jackson and Sajanna Bethea in Saturday's non-league win. Jackson contributed 16 points, nine rebounds and three steals while Bethea added 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals.
