Upper Dublin 11, Boyertown 8
The Flying Cardinals took a 6-4 lead into halftime and held on for the big non-league win over the Bears on their home field.
Amy and Kelly Cross led the way with four and three goals respectively. Brooke Callahan added two goals and two assists while Kathleen Speese and Emily Hitchings each added single goals.
Coach Dee Cross lauded the standout defensive efforts of Kaley Weinstein, Jamie Black and Michele DeVincent.
Upper Dublin goalie Anna Lauer turned away eight shots.
Downingtown West 12, Souderton 8
Danielle Notvest contributed three goals and one assist while teammates Liz Mower, Kirstin Russell, Lindsay Walbrandt, Carly Kendall and Haley Kershaw each added single goals. Russell and Kendall both had assists as well. Goalie Kaitlin Crouthamel turned away six shots as the Indians (3-1) absorbed their first loss of the season.
