SOUDERTON 21, WISSAHICKON 10
Carley Kendall scored five goals and contributed three assists to lead the Indians to the big non-league win. Amber Lambeth added four goals and one assist while Liz Mower (three goals, four assists) and Alyssa Ziegler (three goals) also had big games. Sydney Niles and Megan McDermott both had two goals and one assist, and Alexa Schneider had two goals. Chessie Rahmer added two assists. Goalie Kaitlin Crouthamel was credited with nine saves. Michelle Goodwin led the defense with two interceptions. Lambeth and Gabby McAndrews both had one interception.
The Indians improved to 6-3 while the Trojans fell to 5-4.
NOTRE DAME 16, HATBORO-HORSHAM 13
Notre Dame controlled play in the circle in a contest that saw the Hatters win just five draws. Cortnee Daley (three goals, three assists) and Nicole Beck (three goals, two assists) led a balanced Hatter attack. Julie McKay, Lizzy Carr (two assists) and Rachel Rausa each added two goals. Casey Swezey added one goal, and Katie McKay had one assist. Caroline Hagan led the defense with six ground balls.
The loss was the first of the season for the Hatters (10-1).
LANSDALE CATHOLIC 12, UPPER MORELAND 11
The Golden Bears opened up a quick 3-0 lead, sparked by goals from Lily Sgro, Kathryn Brunner and Maddie Mauro. Upper Moreland still led 4-2 after Brunner connected for her third goal of the game, but by halftime, the Crusaders had a 7-5 lead. Goals by Brunner and Veronica Baez knotted the score 7-7 early in the second half, but the Crusaders answered with a 5-1 tear to go on top 12-8 with 8:15 remaining.
The Golden Bears made a late run, using goals by Melissa Fellicetti, Brunner and Felicia Milsop made it a 12-11 game with 1:19 remaining. Upper Moreland won the ensuing draw but LC goalie Nicole Scallia came up with a big stop to preserve the lead. The Crusaders, who were down a player for the final 8:58, ran out the clock to earn the win.
Brunner led the Golden Bears with a game-high five goals while Melissa Felicetti added two goals and Veronica Baez, Maddie Mauro and Felicia Milsop, one goal each. Sarah Reice added an assist.
Kaitlin Taylor was credited with nine saves in goal for the Golden Bears, who fell to 3-8 overall.
UPPER MERION 14, UPPER PERKIOMEN 12
The Vikings broke a 7-7 halftime tie with a 7-5 second half to earn the non-league win. Amanda McAteer (one assist) and Mel Ryan both scored four goals to lead the Vikings. Liz Botto (two assists), Colleen Bowes (one assist), Dominique Gambone, Natalie McGrath, Brooke Dubin and Haley Fitzgerald each added one goal.
Ally Frymoyer had a big night in goal for the Vikings, turning away 13 shots.
The Vikings improved to 7-4 on the season.
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 19, EMMAUS 8
Hannah Plappert (five goals, three assists) and Kara Magley (five goals, two assists) led the Indians to the decisive non-league win on Monday. Erica Green and Tori Lyon (one assist) both added two goals. Kara Lee and Natalie Maher each added one goal to close out the scoring in a contest that saw the Indians hold a 22-12 advantage in shots. Taylor Beck was credited with four saves in goal for the Indians.
