SOL Girls' Lacrosse Wrap (5-10-12)

Check out the results of the SOL girls lacrosse teams in action on Thursday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 15, CHELTENHAM 8
Sophomore Elena Romesburg had a huge game for the Bucks, scoring seven goals. Steph Cooper and Tara Shugars (one assist) each added two goals. Scoring single goals were Jane Savard (two assists), Jess Circuit (one assist), Christine Munsell (one assist) and Paige Savard. Sara Gebre also had an assist.
Sammie McManus and Emily Hawkins led the Lady Panthers with two goals each.
West goalie Kyra Bergere was credited with six saves.
West took control early and used its speed in the midfield to control the game.
While the Bucks improved to 11-6, the Lady Panthers fell to 10-8.

STRATH HAVEN 17, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 12
Kara Magley scored five goals, Molly Doyle added three goals and three assists, and Hannah Plappert contributed the hat trick, but it wasn’t enough to hold off Strath Haven in Thursday’s non-league showdown. Erica Green added a pair of goals, and Natalie Maher had a goal and an assist for the Indians, who fell to 14-3.
Strath Haven held a 27-20 advantage in shots. Rock North goalie Taylor Beck was credited with 10 saves.

WISSAHICKON 10, GWYNEDD-MERCY 7
Laura Frankenfield turned in a dazzling seven-goal effort, singlehandedly matching the output of the entire Monarchs squad. Included in the junior standout’s big performance was the 200th goal of her career. Lauren Irvine, Zoe Kale and Zoe Gomez each added one goal. The Trojans upped their record to 11-6.

UPPER DUBLIN 17, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 4
The Flying Cardinals wrapped up a perfect league season on Thursday, sprinting to a 14-2 halftime lead on their way to their 12th win without a loss. Kelly Cross turned in an impressive four-goal, four-assist effort while teammate Brooke Callahan added four goals and one assist. Taylor D’Ginto contributed two goals and three assists, and Michele DeVincent and Julie Cross both added two goals and one assist. Emily Hitchings (one assist), Anna Trentini and Shelby Kenny each added one goal. Rachel Gordon had one assist.
For the Colonials, Kayla Wisniewski contributed the hat trick, and Sarah Haylor had one goal.
Upper Dublin goalie Sarah Gallagher was credited with five saves.
While PW fell to 2-8 in league play (2-13 overall), the Cardinals are 12-0 (15-2 overall).

HATBORO-HORSHAM 20, PENNRIDGE 8
The Hatters were led by the four-goal efforts of seniors Nicole Beck and Caroline Hagan (one assist) as they wrapped up a perfect SOL season on Thursday. Cortnee Daley added three goals and one assist, and Lizzy Carr had one goal and four assists. Casey Swezey scored two goals, and Julie McKay had one goal and two assists. Adding single goals were Maria Guerra, Lauren Sarnese, Colby Carr and Jane Henry. Jenna Cutilli had one assist to close out the scoring for the Hatters, who finished the league season 12-0 (16-2 overall). The Rams finished their season with a 3-9 record in league play (5-13 overall).
