Abington 15, Central Bucks East 12
The Ghosts - who were without Temple-bound Molly Seefried - rallied from an early 7-1 deficit to earn the dramatic non-league win.
Picking up the slack in Seefried’s absence were underclassmen Meredith Cox and Hanna Sjoholm, who scored six and five goals respectively. Sjoholm also had an assist. Carli Fitzgerald added two goals and an assist. Allison Rooney and Emma Gross both contributed single goals.
For the Patriots, Jamie Burns led the way with four goals. Sam Axenroth, Marissa Glatt and Carrie Gillen each added two goals. Marykate Schwartz and Kelly Lapp both scored single goals.
Emily Towey was credited for 16 saves in goal for the Ghosts while her counterpart, East’s Madi Steuber, had nine saves.
Hatboro-Horsham 21, Council Rock South 5
The Hatters sprinted to 10-2 halftime lead and rolled to their 15th win over the season.
Lizzy Carr had a hand in eight goals, scoring five and assisting on three. Nicole Beck had four goals and three assists, and Courtnee Daley added four goals. Julie McKay had two goals and four assists. Rachel Rausa and Caroline Hagan both had two goals and one assist. Laura Cresta and Colby Eldridge each added one goal. Maria Guerra had one assist.
For the Golden Hawks, Leanne Hurley, Christine Besselman, Gabi Rosenfeld and Becca Coco each scored one goal. Devin Cochrane had an assist.
Hatboro’s Jackie Giovinazzo was credited with six saves while Rock South’s Taylor Hurwitz had 20 saves in a busy afternoon.
While the Hatters closed out the regular season with a 15-2 mark, the Golden Hawks fell to 3-12.
Plymouth Whitemarsh 13, Neshaminy 10
The Colonials opened up a 7-4 halftime lead on their way to the non-league win over the Redskins.
Meg McCullough led the Colonials with four goals and one assist. Kayla Wisnewski added three goals and one assist. Charlotte Cornog and Molly Getzfread both scored two goals, and Hannah Heritage and Dani Rosenberg both added one goal.
For the Redskins, Kimber Kisselback scored four goals, and Brittany Sheenan and Emily Hegner both added a pair. Alicia Sabatini and Caitlin Carrezola scored one goal each.
The Colonials improved to 7-8 while the Redskins fell to 4-14.
Wissahickon 9, Springfield (Montco) 6
Jackie Hibbs scored three goals and also led the team with four draw controls in the Trojans’ Senior Night win over their former conference rival on Thursday.
Laura Frankenfield added a goal and an assist while Maddie Sharp, Zoe Gomez, Emily Croke, Alex Smith and Lindsay Anderson each scored one. Zoe Kale had two assists.
Alex Schaefer led the defense with four caused turnovers while senior Jess Scannapieco had 16 saves in goal.
For the Spartans, Rosalie Good (one assist) and Julie Cardamore both scored a pair of goals. Anna Studenmund and Ellie Field each added a single goal, and Sarah Daley had one assist. Goalie Mariel Maneini had 10 saves for the Spartans.
With the win, the Trojans upped their record to 12-6 on the season.
