Plymouth Whitemarsh 9, Upper Merion 7
For the second time in less than a week, the Colonials – who led 6-4 at the half - downed their neighboring rivals.
Molly Getzfread led PW with four goals and one assist, and Hannah Heritage added a pair of goals. Contributing single goals were Kayla Wisniewski, Sarah Naylor and Meg McCullough.
Leading the way for the Vikings was Amanda McAteer with three goals and one assist. Casey Griffith added a pair of goals while Mel Ryan (one assist) and Liz Botto both contributed single goals.
The Colonials evened their SOL record to 5-5 (5-8 overall) while the Vikings fell to 4-6 in the league (9-6 overall).
Hatboro-Horsham 17, Springfield (Montco) 8
Lizzy Carr (one assist) and Courtnee Daley both scored five goals to lead the Hatters, who opened up an 8-4 halftime lead. Nicole Beck contributed three goals and three assists, and Julie McKay also had three goals. Katie McKay added one goal, and Courtnee Hagan contributed an assist and also was credited with six ground balls. Jackie Giovinazzo had eight saves in goal for Hatboro. As a result of the non-league win, the Hatters upped their overall record to 13-2.
Pennsbury 18, Neshaminy 2
Seniors Liz Cowley and Taylor Hickman both scored five goals. Hickman also had two assists in a game the Falcons controlled. Kelsy Gumbert contributed two goals and three assists, and Joy Hopkins added two goals and one assist for the Falcons. Dana Reilley added one goal and two assists while Katie Fields, Jackie Sweeney and Becca Radzinski each contributed one goal. Elle Fagan had one assist.
For the Redskins, Brittany Sheenan and Caitlin Carrezola both had one goal.
Lianna Eyre was credited with six saves in goal for the Falcons. Redskin goalie Casey Rosseljong also was credited with six saves.
The Falcons upped their record to 4-3 in league play (11-5 overall) while the Redskins fell to 0-8 in the league (4-13 overall).
Council Rock North 18, Souderton 12
Hannah Plappert had another big day for the Indians, contributing five goals and six assists. Kara Magley added four goals and three assists while Lindsay Rheiner contributed four goals and one assist. Senior Becky Ely added the hat trick. If you’re counting, Rock North’s ‘big four’ accounted for 16 goals and 10 assists and were pretty much unstoppable. Jackie Strange added a pair of goals, and Natalie Maher had an assist to close out the scoring for Rock North.
Souderton, meanwhile, was led by the four-goal effort of senior Danielle Notvest. Junior Liz Mower added three goals and two assists, and Tori Bulgier added two goals. Kirstin Russell had one goal and two assists, and Carley Kendall contributed one goal and one assist. Gabby McAndrews added a single goal, and Melinda Wojt had one assist.
Rock North held a 28-19 advantage in shots, and Taylor Beck was credited with seven saves in goal for the Indians.
As a result of the win, Rock North improved to 12-2 on the season while the Indians saw their record fall to 12-5.
Conestoga 12, Upper Dublin 6
The Pioneers opened up a 6-3 halftime lead over the Flying Cardinals and never looked back on their way to the win. Megan McGillis had a big day for Conestoga, contributing five goals and one assist, while Gettysburg-bound Taylor Lawler added three goals for the Pioneers.
Kelly Cross led the Flying Cardinals with three goals and two assists. Michele DeVincent, Brooke Callahan and Taylor D’Ginto each added single goals.
Upper Dublin is 13-3 on the season.
Wissahickon 22, Central Bucks West 9
Laura Frankenfield had a huge day for the Trojans, contributing 10 goals and three assists. Zoe Gomez added five goals and two assists, and senior Emily Croke contributed three goals and two assists. Taylor Myers had a pair of goals, and Sam Marino and Maddie Sharp both had one goal. Zoe Kale added three assists, and Alex Smith had one assist.
For the Bucks, Elena Romesburg contributed the hat trick. Tara Shugars and Sarah Gebre each added a pair of goals. Erika Schweibenz and Erica Gilgore both scored one goal. Jess Circuit and Kalin Ojert each had one assist.
Jess Scannapieco was credited with eight saves in goal for the Trojans.
