Council Rock North 3, Pennsbury 2 (OT)
Sarah Scheidell scored the game winner in the first five minutes of overtime to keep the Indians on track for a league title.
“It was a good win for us,” said North coach Roman Escobar. “It was one we needed. Our goal is to win the league. We control our own fate. If we win out, we’re guaranteed a share of first.”
Winning out means defeating Council Rock South Friday, Bensalem Monday and Neshaminy next Wednesday. No small task.
Caitlin Hannagan scored the first goal and Kaitlin McNamara notched the second on an assist from Scheidell. Pennsbury scored on a deflection off a Rock defender and on a penalty kick with one minute left in regulation.
The Indians are now 10-3-1 overall and 9-1 in the conference.
Council Rock South 5, Abington 0
Neshaminy 9, Bensalem 0

Pennridge 2, Hatboro-Horsham 0
Natalia Pinkney accounted for all the scoring the Lady Rams would need. She notched her first goal in the fifth minute, assisted by Bridgette Hess, and her last 17 minutes later off a direct kick by Maggie Butcher.
In goal Ashley Schoellkopf came up with two huge saves to preserve the shutout.
The key to the game, according to coach Jorge Rodriguez, was shutting down the Hatters’ dangerous Carly Black.
Rodriguez also credited Aislinn Roberts and Carly Henry with strong play at center back and Stevi Parker and Butcher for controlling the central midfield.
“Hatboro-Horsham is a strong team,” he said, “but they were flat in the first half, and we went out with two quick goals.”
Central Bucks South 0, North Penn 0
The Titans continue to struggle with scoring. Keeper Meghan Kaminsky came up with a huge save on a breakaway to preserve the tie.
“I was OK with the result,” said South coach Joe Bocklet. “We didn’t do anything offensively that was strong enough.”
The last three games of the season will go a long way to determine the conference finish.
The Titans face C.B. East, Hatboro-Horsham and C.B. West, along with a non-league game against Pennsbury.
Central Bucks West 1, Central Bucks East 0 (OT)
The Lady Bucks played their 11th league game without giving up a goal.
Lindsay Horst netted the game winner with three minutes left in the first overtime.
Bre Benedict made three saves to preserve the shutout.
“It was a very close game,” said West coach Chris Freudig. “They’re a good team. We haven’t played many teams better than them.”
West is now 10-1-3 overall and 9-0-2 in the Continental Conference. The Lady Bucks have three huge games remaining against Hatboro-Horsham, Pennridge and C.B. South.
“To still be in it this far into the season is pretty amazing,” said Freudig.
Quakertown 1, Souderton 0 (OT)
Sophomore Shelly Cowan scored her second game-winning, overtime goal of the year to lead the Panthers. She has six tallies for the season.
For the improved Panthers, it was their third league victory.
Keeper Sarah Fothergill stopped two shots.
“It was an even first half,” said Quakertown coach Mike Koch, “but we dominated the second half. We hit the post once and had a couple other dangerous opportunities.”
Quakertown is now 4-9 overall and 3-6 in the conference.
American Conference
Wissahickon 2, Upper Moreland 0
Maureen Reichert scored the game winner off a direct kick and Lauren Frankenfield added an insurance goal off an Alex Schaefer assist.
Schaeffer was robbed on several breakaways by Upper Moreland keeper Leslie Weaver.
Trojan goalie Rachel Stone stopped eight shots to preserve the shutout.
Wissahickon is now 7-6-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the American Conference.
Plymouth Whitemarsh 1, Cheltenham 0
Amanda Cranney scored in the 33rd minute on an assist from Kelsey Polona.
Alyson Melvin came up big in goal, stopping 13 shots.
“She did what she needed to,” said PW coach Steve Slack. “It was a good game, end to end.”
The victory, the Colonials’ second over Cheltenham, pretty much knocked the Panthers out of a playoff spot.
PW hopes to solidify second place with wins in its remaining league games against Upper Merion and Norristown. The Colonials will also need some help from Upper Dublin to beat Wissahickon.
The Colonials are now 10-3-3 overall and 7-3 in the league.
