PENNSBURY 3, BENSALEM 1
The Falcons needed a pair of late goals from Riley Rudd (68th minute) and senior midfielder Megan Engeland (75th minute) to keep their record unblemished this season.
Rudd scored the game-winner about three minutes after Bensalem senior defender Kayla Ryan had tied the game in the 65th minute.
Engeland got the first of her two goals in the 22nd minute to open the scoring.
Bensalem goalkeeper Alayna McSeed was active throughout the match and finished with 13 saves.
Pennsbury goalkeeper Nany Santiago recorded four saves.
The Owls (0-4, 0-2 SOL) will travel Thursday to Abington for a 7 p.m. matchup.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 4, HARRY S TRUMAN 0
Sophomore Kayla Robinson and freshman Becca Margolis each scored twice to help the Indians to a victory that also kept the Tigers winless.
Robinson scored her first goal in the 20th minute with an assist from senior Kiki Glatz. In the 35th minute, Robinson then assisted on Margolis’ first goal.
In the second half, Margolis scored again with an assist from junior midfielder Tori Hill in the 46th minute. Robinson capped the scoring in the 65th minute with an assist from senior midfielder Michaela Finneyfrock.
North interim head coach Wendell Beres praised the entire roster, as their consistent goal scoring enabled him to give significant playing time to reserves and to rest some starters in the second half.
“This is a pretty special group,” Beres said. “A lot of curve balls have been thrown at them in a short period of time [the loss of three Council Rock South students in an automobile accident, along with a coaching change] and dealt with more in 2-1/2 weeks than most teams deal with all season, and they’ve never questioned it. They’ve kept their heads down (working) and kept moving in the right direction, and they’re a joy to work with.”
Beres also gave credit to Truman for being a tough matchup.
“Truman always plays well at home, and I’ve seen some teams in the past go there and panic, and thankfully that wasn’t the case today,” Beres said.  “(The Tigers) eventually are going to beat somebody.”
The Indians (2-1-1, 1-1-1 SOL) will continue traveling Thursday afternoon, when they face Neshaminy.
The Tigers (0-4, 0-3 SOL) also will go on the road Thursday afternoon to take on Pennsbury.
CR North 2-2 4
HS Truman 0-0 0

American Conference

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3, WISSAHICKON 2
The Colonials scored the first two goals of the game (24th minute and 28th minute) and never trailed in this SOL American battle for first place. Nic Abbott scored a pair for the Colonials while Ani Greenspan had a single goal in the conference showdown.
The Trojans got their first goal from sophomore midfielder Krysta Memis with an assist from Meghan Guzewicz at 29:44.
Still trailing in the 35th minute, 3-1, Maddie Elwell found Mady Foglia open, whose header found the back of the net.
Though no goals were scored by either team after intermission, Wissahickon head coach Shannon Creamer-Franke was encouraged by several individual efforts.
“Foglia off the bench made a huge difference with a (goal) shortly after entering the game,” Creamer-Franke said. “Foglia continued to play at pace providing opportunity for the team. Emily Vervilied also had a stellar game contributing five out of the 18 shots recorded for us. Elwell also should be mentioned for her effort up top, recording seven shots and an assist.”
The Trojans outshot the Colonials, 18-11, and goalkeeper Keanna Haney made seven saves.
For The Colonials (3-0, 3-0 SOL), their road trip continues Thursday afternoon at Upper Dublin.
The Trojans (3-1, 2-1 SOL) also will take to the road Thursday afternoon to meet Upper Merion.

Wissahickon 2-0 2

UPPER DUBLIN 4, UPPER MORELAND 0
Junior Paige Lawton scored the game-winning goal Tuesday, and senior Julie Cross scored the last three goals of the match, as the Flying Cardinals stayed unbeaten in SOL American Conference competition.
Lawton scored at 27:04, and Cross gave Upper Dublin a 2-0 lead by scoring less than seven minutes later at the 34-minute mark.
Cross scored again as time was expiring in the first half, then she earned the natural hat trick at 47:54.
As a result of Upper Dublin outshooting the Golden Bears, 29-4, Upper Moreland senior goalkeeper Kim Benge registered 15 saves.
Upper Dublin head coach John Topper is satisfied with his relatively young roster’s early progress.
“We graduated 13 seniors last year, so we have a number of young players playing varsity for the first time,” Topper said. “We have a lot of talent, and they’re just getting experience. Each game that goes by, we’re seeing improvements from them with the system we’re trying to play.”
Topper also said the six seniors on the squad—Tovah Kaiser, Erin Russell, Sofia Mercurio, Brigid Peyton, goalkeeper Alissa Klammer and Cross—have added stability while the younger players are transitioning.
The Cardinals (3-2, 3-0 SOL) will return home to meet undefeated Plymouth Whitemarsh on Thursday afternoon.
For the Bears (0-4, 0-3 SOL), their home stand continues Thursday afternoon against Springfield (Montco) before heading to Lower Moreland on Friday afternoon for a non-league matchup that completes three games in four days.
Upper Dublin 3-1 4
Upper Moreland 0-0 0

CHELTENHAM 1, SPRINGFIELD (MONTCO) 1 (2 OT)
The Panthers and Spartans battled to a deadlock after 100 minutes.
For Cheltenham, sophomore forward Ruby Tomasic scored the team’s lone goal in the 15th minute.
Senior Katelyn Gillinger scored Springfield’s only goal with an assist from senior Cameron Calanan late in the first half.
Facing four games in five days, the Panthers (0-2-1, 0-2-1 SOL) next will host Norristown on Thursday afternoon, Pennridge on Friday afternoon and Abington on Saturday morning.
Cheltenham head coach Mark Woodcock sees mostly opportunity in this stretch.
“We have a young team, and if you’re not playing, you’re training,” Woodcock said. “Generally, I have the view that you improve a lot more then you’re playing than when you’re training. What we need to do is to go out and to learn how to play under pressure against the best teams, and to learn to play against teams that maybe we should beat.”
Also with a grueling stretch of three games in four days, the Spartans (1-1-1, 1-1-1 SOL) will go on the road Thursday afternoon to meet Upper Moreland before returning home for a non-league match Friday afternoon against Christopher Dock.
Cheltenham 1-0 1
Springfield (M) 1-0 1

UPPER MERION 2, NORRISTOWN 0
Junior Anna Davis scored both goals for the Vikings, in the 22nd and 73rd minutes, during a shutout victory.
The Eagles (1-4, 0-3 SOL) will complete a stretch of three games in four days Thursday afternoon at Cheltenham.
The Vikings (2-3, 2-1 SOL) will remain home Thursday afternoon against Wissahickon.
Norristown 0-0 0
Upper Merion 1-1 2

Continental Conference

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, HATBORO-HORSHAM 0
Junior Emma Loving scored all the goals in the contest—with assists from Kate Schlotter, Kristen Murphy and Delaney Kennedy, respectively—as the Patriots remained undefeated this year and kept Hatboro-Horsham winless in SOL Continental competition.
"CB East balances the technical game with dynamic athletes who are durable and committed," Hatboro manager Ben Winderman said. "For us, the opportunity to play them at home and at night reveals the intangibles of high school soccer.
"I'm so pleased with our performance and the growth that our players are experiencing."
The Patriots took a 1-0 lead when Loving, a player Winderman referred to as East's "classy catalyst," connected at the 16-minute mark.
"(Stopping her) is easier said than done, and she is more confident and more opportunistic, and she accelerates to the space with such a speed burst that she gained separation from many defenders," Winderman said. "For the Patriots, she provides the comfort that if they defend and have solid goalkeeping, they have a chance against any opponent."
Loving added goals in the 42nd minute and the 51st minute for East (3-0-1, 2-0-1 SOL). The Patriots, according to Winderman, caught the Hatters in transition a few times with two freshmen and two sophomores anchoring the back. Still, Winderman was pleased with their performance.
"Kerryn MacBride has embraced a challenge with style and fortitude," the Hatters' coach said. "She reads and anticipates so well and plays with a gritty fearlessness that is not accidental.
"Standing toe-to-toe with East's playmakers is a win for us. Haley Freedman is one of the smartest players I have come across in recent years, and both freshmen are decisive and competitive. With Allie Hontz and Lauren Kim, our future holds promise."
Winderman also acknowledged the return of midfielder Sarah Theurer as crucial in terms of elevating his team's play.
Senior goalkeeper Lauren Burrell earned the shutou for the Patriots.
East head coach Paul Eisold said Cailyn Henkins and Hannah Zach played well defensively, as Hatboro-Horsham played East tight and challenged the Patriots on virtually every play.
The Patriots’ next match is 7 p.m. Thursday hosting Central Bucks South.
The Hatters (2-3, 0-3 SOL) will go on the road Thursday to meet Quakertown in a 7 p.m. start.
CB East 1-2 3
Hatboro-Horsham 0-0 0

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0, PENNRIDGE 0 (2 0T)
The Titans and Rams battled through 100 minutes to a scoreless tie.
While Pennridge remained unbeaten in the early season, for goalkeeper Kaitlyn Moran, it was her second straight shutout after blanking CB West, 2-0, on Saturday.
The Titans (2-1-1, 1-1-1 SOL) next will play Thursday evening at Central Bucks East.
The Rams (2-0-2, 1-0-2) will stay at home Thursday afternoon against Souderton before traveling to Cheltenham on Friday afternoon for their third game in four days this week.
CB South 0-0-0-0 0
Pennridge 0-0-0-0 0

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 1, SOUDERTON 0 (OT)
Lindsey Morgan was credited with the only goal of the game in the first overtime.
Souderton coach Chris Felber had described the goal as a “deflected clearance that went high and dropped in” the net.
Senior Shae MacCarty got an assist.
Later this week, the Bucks (3-1-1, 1-1-1 SOL) will complete three road games in four days, traveling Thursday afternoon to North Penn, then Friday afternoon for a non-league matchup at Boyertown.
The Indians (2-2, 2-1 SOL) also will travel Thursday afternoon to face Pennridge.
CB West 0-0-1-0 1
Souderton 0-0-0-0 0

NORTH PENN 5, QUAKERTOWN 1
North Penn earned a big win on Tuesday afternoon. Tina Miller (Hannah Alexander assist) scored the first goal in the game's fourth minute. Ally King (Miller assist) added the second in the 45th minute before Katie Crouthamel scored in the 55th minute for the Panthers to make it a 2-1 game. The Maidens iced the win on goals by Morgan Brett (Miller assist) in the 58th minute, Anna Pedicone in the 69th minute and Shelby Chiodo (Alexis Henderson assist) in the 76th minute.
Coach Jim Dehner credited Jani Johnston, Liz Volz, Steph Bresadola and Kristin Wilkinson for playing strong defensive games in front of keeper Laura Leonard, who was commanding when needed.
The Maidens (3-1, 2-1 SOL) next will host Central Bucks West on Thursday afternoon.
The Panthers (0-3-1, 0-2-1) will remain at home Thursday evening against Hatboro-Horsham.
