CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, QUAKERTOWN 2 (18-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 15-13)
The Patriots rallied from an 0-2 deficit to earn the dramatic win.
Kelsey Arm had a big night at the net, delivering 12 kills with a .320 hitting percentage to go along with four aces and four digs. Courtney Kauffman contributed 11 kills with a .285 hitting percentage. She also had five blocks and five service aces. Caroline Davis had 32 assists, 11 saves and four kills. Maddy Lagacey had three kills, three assists, six service aces, seven digs and two blocks. Madi Staub led the defense with 30 digs, and Rachel Clow had nine kills and nine digs. Hannah Lunah delivered four kills and four service aces.
“It was a very close and well-played match by both teams,” CB East coach Margie Arm said.
Geena Close and Anna Mease each had 10 kills to lead the Panthers. Close also had five digs and two aces while Mease added seven digs and two aces. Meghan Lopes had 25 assists, two aces and one kill. Lydia O’Neal (four kills, one block, five aces), Alyssa Moore (three kills, two aces), and Sarah Hunsberger (three kills) also made important contributions. Colette Todd led the defense with 22 digs, and Jess Hunsberger also contributed defensively.
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, PENNRIDGE 1 (25-19, 26-24, 20-25, 25-14)
Rachel Baker led the Bucks with 14 kills, eight aces and six digs. Caroline Hauck added nine kills, followed by Maddie Klun and Alicia West with six kills each. Alicia West had 38 assists. Taylor Hodge added six digs, and Courtney King had five aces.
HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, UPPER DUBLIN 0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-7)
The Hatters, who celebrated Senior Night with the big win, were led by big performances from Carly Black, Cara Conwell, Kathryn Lucca and Gab Pio. Black and Lucca led the offense with 12 and 11 kills respectively. Black had four blocks, and Quinn O’Donnell contributed three. Lucca had four service aces and served a total of 15 points.
PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3, WISSAHICKON 0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-17)
Monica McLenigan led the defense with 13 digs. Giovanna Jenkins and Anna Waltz led PW at the net with nine and eight kills respectively. Jenkins also had five aces, nine digs and five blocks while Waltz had 11 digs, two blocks and one ace. Tori Biggins had 10 assists, four aces and two digs, and Riley Hellings had 11 assists, five aces and two digs. Elizabeth Keefer (two kills, one blocks, one assist), Cara Sweeney (three kills three digs, four blocks) Emily Houck (one kill, two blocks) and Cindy Ly (one kill) also contributed.
NORTH PENN 3, SOUDERTON 0, (25-12, 25-14, 25-14)
The Maidens were led by the strong service game of Danielle Dungee, who had seven aces to go along with four digs. Stephanie Elechko had a team-high 13 kills and one ace, and Kendra Allen added five kills, two aces and 15 assists. Erin Gooley had 11 assists, four digs and three aces.
For the Indians, Miriam Doepner, Grace Pinto and Jen Spause each had three kills. Sam Cressman had 11 assists and five digs. Megan Miller led the defense with 12 kills. Hayley Sparks had a pair of aces while Cressman and Doepner each had one ace. Alexa Kluka had one block.
