#7 HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-20)
The Hatters came out firing in a tough three-set win over the visiting Patriots.
“As they've seen throughout the years, the Hatters were successful in bringing a balanced aggressive offense to the table,” HH coach Jon Young said.
Directing the offense was senior setter Grace Howard with 25 assists. Leading the Hatters in kills were Kayla Jones (11) and Nastya Tsetsko (7). Isabelle Bombas and Jade Lauzier both added six kills to the mix. Jade Lauzier also had an exceptionally strong night with five blocks while Nastya Tsetsko and Isabelle Bombas added two to the mix.
HH had a strong night on the serving line with 14 aces led by Maci Lumpkin (5), Kalya Jones (3), Ava Santo (2), and Abigail Kosmalski (1). Lumpkin also led the defensive game with a massive 15 digs and 17 passing attempts.
For the Patriots, setter Katie Monaghan directed the offense with 17 assists, four digs, two kills and one ace. Middles Maddy Ware (eight kills, two blocks, five digs, three aces) and Samantha Sharp (four kills, three blocks) combined for 12 kills and five blocks. Rightsides Kat Montabana (one ace, one block, two digs, two kills), Emily Curran (two kills) and Regina Mathur (one kill) also contributed. Outsides Megan Colbert (one dig), Mia Mettille (one dig, one ace, one kill) and Stephanie Bahner (two digs, one kill) also chipped in. Libero Chloe Mettille had 11 digs three aces and one assist.
The Hatters travel to Unionville on Saturday afternoon for the District One 4A quarterfinal playoff match.

The Indians – sparked by the brilliant effort of senior captain Ashleigh Adams – eked out wins in the opening two sets and, after dropping the third, rolled to a win in the fourth set to claim the hard-fought win.
Adams, the Indians’ gifted outside hitter, had 34 kills, 26 digs, five blocks and two aces in a monster performance. Junior outside hitter Ainsley Jordan added 10 kills, 10 digs, five aces and one assist in an impressive outing of her own. Senior captain Kate Logan, the team’s setter, dished out 40 assists to go along with six digs, one ace and two blocks. Senior defensive specialist Arushi Singh had 14 digs and three aces while sophomore libero Emma McNulty had seven digs, two aces and one assist. Senior middle hitter Bella Slough (two kills, two digs), junior opposite Sophia Lentz (two kills, two digs, one ace, two blocks), senior setter Becca Wintjen (two digs) and senior outside Julia Murphy (one block, one ace) also contributed.
The Indians will host #8 Boyertown in a quarterfinal match on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Golden Hawks saw their successful season come to an end in Thursday’s second round.
Edan Kauer delivered 11 kills to lead the Hawks at the net. Avery Vaughan added four kills and one block, and Nala Kauer also had four kills. Lindsey Korn led the defense with 12 digs. Shani Sun led the Hawks’ service game with four aces. Setter Lili Lauch had nine assists.
