PENNSBURY 3, CENTRAL BUCK SOUTH 0 (27-24, 25-18, 25-15)
Elley Torres had another big night at the net for the Falcons. The senior outside hitter finished with 19 kills and a dazzling .500 hitting percentage. She also had five aces, five digs, one solo block and one block assist. Izzy Marinelli added 10 kills, one dig and one block assist. Abbie Drewes led the defense with 12 digs to go along with two aces. Carissa Van Veen had 17 assists, one ace and two digs while Maggie Golder had 15 assists and two digs. Also contributing were Bria Mullaghy (three digs, two aces), Jada Rice (three kills, two blocks) and Brooke Burns (three kills, one ace and one block assists).
Non-league
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, MOUNT ST. JOSEPH 2 (25-21, 25-20, 13-25, 17-25, 15-10)
The Bucks eked out a hard fought win over the Mount in a non-league thriller, excelling at the service line (24 aces), the net (35 kills, seven blocks) and defensively (65 digs).
Jada Reichwein led the Bucks service game with 10 aces to go along with five kills, one block and 12 digs. Naomi Woo led the Bucks at the net with 12 kills and five blocks to go along with four aces and three digs. Sarah Tartaglia contributed 10 kills and four digs. Maggie McCusker added seven kills, two aces, two blocks and five digs. Maggie Winderman led the way defensively with 17 digs and three aces while Jordyn Klementovich had 10 digs and one ace. Setter Ana Claricurzio had 31 assists, 15 digs, four aces and three blocks.
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, ARCHBISHOP WOOD 1 (25-21, 24-26, 25-17, 25-22)
The Patriots received contributions up and down their lineup in a non-league win over the Vikings.
“What a win tonight,” coach Kerri Rabberman said. “The girls played great and as such a team.
“Wood is an extremely talented team and got leads on us in the first and fourth sets by a decent margin, and my girls just fought as hard as they could and played extremely well tonight.”
Setter Anna Ritter had 40 assists, four aces, two kills and 18 digs. Morgan D’Angelo had another huge night in the back row with 32 digs and two aces. Vivien Agassi added 22 digs, two aces and one block while Abby Killough had 12 digs and Chloe Mettille, 10 digs. Ava Napoletano led the Patriots at the net with 13 kills. Maddy Lacouture had eight kills, one block and one ace while Aimee Wolf added six kills and four blocks. Anna Huchko chipped in with three digs, four kills and two blocks.
COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, VILLA JOSEPH MARIE 0
The Golden Hawks earned a sweep of their neighboring rival.
Lauren Dougherty led a balanced attack with three blocks and five kills while Gianna Hollister had one block and two kills. Setter Ava Paulson had eight assists and three aces. Emma Helverson contributed two blocks and three kills.
SOUDERTON 3, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 1 (25-12, 25-23, 20-25, 25-18)
Alyssa Reiner’s 18 kills led a potent Indian attack in Friday’s non-league win over the Lions. Amelia Hanson added a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs. Setter Maya Hanson dished out 35 assists to go along with nine digs, one ace and two kills. Hana Ekecs had 26 digs to lead the defense. She also had two aces, one kill and two assists. Christy Mack had 17 digs and one ace. Also making important contributions were Maddy McCarthy (six kills, four digs), Grace Petersen (one ace, six digs), Natalie Truskowski (four blocks) and Liv Horas (two aces, three kills, four digs).
BENSALEM 3, CHELTENHAM 1
The Owls were led by Sydney Bawuah’s 11 kills and four aces. Crystal Dang (26 assists) also set up Maddie Buechner (eight kills), Zariah Prescott (five kills) and Ameerah Thomas (five kills).
