SOL National Conference

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 2 (25-23, 23-25, 18-25, 25-18, 15-13)
The Panthers lost another heartbreaker, this time on their Senior Night.
“I would give anything to have gotten over the hump tonight in one of these huge matches,” Tennent coach Brian Bassler said. “This is one of the hardest working teams I have ever coached, and they really deserved this on their Senior Night, but East played hard, overcame adversity and was a couple plays better.
“I have said it all year though and it is true – I am so proud to coach these seniors. They are all winners and are going to do some great things.”
On the other side of the net, East coach Kerri Rabberman tipped her hat to the Panthers.
“First and foremost, I have to say how great Tennent played and was coached tonight,” the Patriots’ coach said. “They played an all-around solid game and constantly made us work. Congrats to their seniors.
“This was a full team effort win.”
Jenn Krzeminski was a force with six aces, 22 kills, 3.5 blocks, 15 digs and two assists. Anna Ritter had 38 assists, two aces and 14 digs. Aurora Budson added four kills and a block. Makaila Freeman had seven kills. Morgan Beakley had one kill and led the defense with 20 digs. Morgan D'Angelo added four aces and 15 digs. Vivien Agassi had nine kills and five digs. Ysabelle Minschwaner had one ace, two kills and 10 digs. Gina Feliz added an ace with two digs and Courtney Woolslayer also added two digs.
“Julie Byrne added two digs, three aces and an emotional spark that led our team to the win,” Rabberman said. “Without her contagious heart and passion, we couldn't have done it.
“Abby Killough also played incredible coming off the bench with three kills and 11 digs. Great job ladies.

For the Panthers, Stephanie Woolston added 34 digs to her impressive career total, and Nicole Long and Devyn Cobb were strong at the net with 14 kills each. Cobb also had four aces. Setter Kelly Scipione had 39 assists.
“Our defense was strong, and Lauren Yancer, Shaina Gatton, Alessia Martusciello and Jessica Rutkowsky played amazing tonight,” Bassler said.

PENNSBURY 3, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-12, 25-16)
The Falcons clinched sole possession of the SOL National Conference title, avenging their only loss of the season with Monday’s win over the visiting Indians.
"It was probably our most complete team game," coach Mike Falter said. "Every single girl contributed in every single possible way, and it's something I'm extremely proud of. We've been working towards that. I don't think we've ever had a match where all the girls on the court were clicking, and that's what happened tonight."
Leading the charge was senior Julia Vreeswyk, who was all but unstoppable at the net, finishing with 28 kills (.322 hitting percentage) to go along with six digs and three aces. Also coming up huge was Sydney Buell with 17 kills and a dazzling .516 hitting percentage. She also had 12 digs and a pair of aces.
"I was happy for Sydney," Falter said. "She works hard at practice, and she's an intense person. She had a rough few games, so it was nice for her to have the match she did to clinch the league. I was happy for her."
Setter Kiley Bucknum had a busy night, doling out 50 assists. She also had nine digs and one ace. Leading the defense was Heather Linker with 16 digs. Brooke Burns had six kills with a .357 hitting percentage, and Shelby Hastings had four kills (.375 hitting percentage). As a team, the Falcons had a .306 hitting percentage. Elley Torres had 14 digs, one ace and four kills.
"We switched our lineup," Falter said. "We flipflopped Sydney Buell and Elley Torres, so we put Sydney Buell opposite and we put Elley Torres, our sophomore, outside.
"Sydney, Julia and Brooke Burns - everybody had an awesome night offensively, but it was crazy. When I looked at the numbers, it just didn't make sense to me because North was doing what North does - they were just digging everything we were throwing at them, so I was shocked that we still hit that high with the defense they were playing.
"We didn't make a lot of errors - we kept getting dug up, but we weren't hitting the ball out of bounds or into the net. We were at least keeping it in play, so I think that's what really helped."
For the Indians, senior captain Maddy Moore led the way with 12 kills and nine digs. Senior outside hitter Alyssa Coates added four kills, six digs and two aces. Senior captain Sarah Caola had 22 assists, one ace, 12 digs and three blocks, and senior middle blocker Mackenzie Tinner had five kills, one ace, five blocks and five digs. Also contributing were Kaelin Mealy (two kills, one dig) and Jenna Hron (two kills, two blocks, one dig). Ashley Kelly (six digs, one ace), Grace Schweizer (four digs, one ace, one kill) and Jill Schweizer (three digs) contributed to the defense.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, BENSALEM 0 (25-8, 25-10, 25-15)
The Titans celebrated Senior Night with a sweep of the visiting Owls.
"So tonight was Senior Night for us,” coach Kurt Godfrey said. “It was such a special moment and I am so proud of these girls.  This is the first class of girls that I can say I've had all four years of high school.
“You can see by the stats that we really only played our seniors tonight.  We had an opportunity for them to play together and have some fun.  We did make sure to stay focused as we are not yet done with the season.  All of our seniors had a great night and it was really special for them.  We will be back at it tomorrow night with our Dig Pink Event and we hope to keep our playoff push alive."

“I’ve coached in a ton of games, and the way both teams fought tonight makes me proud to be a part of it. All the kids from both teams should be proud of their efforts.”
