WILLIAM TENNENT 3, WISSAHICKON 0 (25-21, 25-10, 25-19)
The Panthers celebrated Senior Night with a sweep of the visiting Trojans.
“Our seniors, Addy Criss, Erta Fonda, Bex Jones, Megan Keyser, Megan Pickford and Lydia Pope all started on the floor and ended on the floor together tonight in front of a large home crowd,” Tennent coach Brian Bassler said. “More than volleyball players, these seniors are just great character people. They have supported each other and more importantly the underclassmen all year. Tonight, we got to support them.
“As usual, libero Addy Criss was all over the back row digging up everything in site. Erta Fonda had a gutsy performance in the middle on a hurt foot/ankle. Bex Jones set the first set, then set again in the third and hit a little right side. Megan Keyser had some huge kills to the floor and played great defense. Megan Pickford played a little bit of everything but shined passing the ball and Lydia Pope #25 served the game winning point 25 in both sets one and three. She played amazing defense and had some smart, timely hits. We are so proud of this group and will miss them a great deal.”
