CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, PENNRIDGE 2 (25-15, 16-25, 19-25, 25-15, 15-9)

The Titans handed the Rams their first loss in match play, eking out a win in five sets.

“Tonight took every ounce of effort from our side of the net,” coach Kurt Godfrey said. “We got contributions from a lot of people.”

Leading the Titans at the net were sophomore outside Millie Grove (15 kills, three blocks, three digs), junior outside Courtney Pohl (15 kills, two digs), senior middle Allie Burke (nine kills) and senior middle Carly Carroll (five kills, two blocks). Senior libero McKenna Clow had 14 digs and one assist, and senior setter Lizzie Shirley had 45 assists, six aces and 11 digs. Sophomore Shannon Record added four kills and four digs.

"Brandon (Johnson) has built a really good program and we got lucky to steal one from them tonight,” Godfrey said. “Rileigh, Kat and Allison played amazing defense for Pennridge and made it really hard for us to get kills. Rileigh seemed to be all over the place.

"For us, I am so proud of how we played at the net tonight.  Courtney, Allie and Millie were awesome and Lizzie was incredible from the service line.  We have a tough week ahead of us.  So we'll be happy tonight but get back to work tomorrow to fix our errors and prepare for next week."
