SOL National Conference

BENSALEM 3, HARRY S TRUMAN 0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-16)
The Owls rolled to a sweep of the Tigers in a conference match.
Chloe Costello (8 digs, 1 assist) and Dene Howe (7 digs) led the defense. Talia DiMichele dished out 26 assists and also had six digs and four aces. Ashley Tarr was strong at the net with 14 kills to go along with six digs and an ace. Also contributing were Kami Pearson (3 blocks, 2 kills), Lexi Ryan (4 kills, 1 ace) and Mackenzie Kramer (3 kills).
Bensalem (7-8, 4-6 SOL) will travel to Neshaminy on Thursday, and Harry S Truman (1-11, 0-8) will be on the road at Harriton on Friday for a non-league match.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, PENNSBURY 1
In a battle of the National Conference’s top two squads, it was the Golden Hawks earning the win to remain perfect in conference play.
Edan Kauer had a huge night for the Hawks, finishing with 11 kills, two aces and 17 digs. Rachel Khelmer (15 assists, 1 ace) and Ashlyn Dinan (17 assists, 4 digs) shared setting responsibilities. Nala Kauer added five kills, four aces and eight digs while Yana Kotlyarenko had six kills and three blocks and Olivia DeSaro also had six kills. Cadence Palmer led the defense with 18 digs and two aces. Also contributing were Rachael Buchnik (1 block, 2 kills), Cassidy Melnick (6 digs) and Sara Gannon (2 kills).
Council Rock South (12-2, 9-0 SOL) will host Council Rock North on Thursday, and Pennsbury (10-3, 6-3) will host Harry S Truman on Thursday.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 2 (16-25, 20-25, 25-16, 25-22, 16-14)
The Indians found themselves staring at a 2-0 deficit but rallied to win the next three sets with a gutsy comeback.

“We played two very tough matches against William Tennent this year, each of them five sets, each going back and forth,” Rock North coach Joe Schweitzer said. “Yesterday, their lib was just plain outstanding, digging up every single ball in her vicinity.
“I think we became a little frustrated with our offense seeing so many balls coming back.  After the second set, we settled and understood the ball was coming back and we had to attempt to take control.”
The Indians were led by Olivia Szymkiewicz with 18 kills, five aces, Kaitlyn Liedl with 13 kills, three aces, and Addison Zarillo with 11 kills.  Sarah McCafferty dished out 48 assists.  Emma McNulty began the offense with a sparkling 2.28 serve receive score.
Council Rock North (10-5, 5-3 SOL) will travel to Council Rock South on Thursday for a 6 p.m. match. William Tennent (7-8, 4-5) will host George Washington in a non-league match Thursday.

SOL Continental Conference

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-21)
The Bucks maintained their stronghold on the conference’s top spot with their sweep of the visiting Panthers.
Rachel Hu (11 kills, 4 aces, 10 digs, 3 assists) and Alexis Barklage (9 kills, 2 blocks) led the Bucks at the net. Setter Elisa Kremser handed our 14 assists and also had one kill, two blocks and three digs. Erin Ferello added nine assists, two kills, one ace and four digs. Hollis Walton contributed five kills, three aces and three blocks. Alexa Lee (8 digs, 4 assists, 2 aces) and Amber Woodring (7 digs, 3 aces) contributed to the defense. Lily Rasnake had four aces, and Stephanie Bahner chipped in one kill and one block.
For the Panthers, Genevieve Clark had 11 assists, seven digs and one ace. Cece Bates led the defense with 14 digs and three kills while Grace White added 10 digs, three kills and three blocks. Ellie White had three kills, four blocks, two aces and three digs. Also contributing were Krysalyn Juchno (3 kills, 2 aces, 1 dig), Mia Handschumacher (1 kill, 2 blocks, 2 digs), Colleen Gallagher (4 digs), Ally Cole (2 digs) and Zoe Hartley (2 digs).
Central Bucks West (10-2, 8-0 SOL) will host Central Bucks South on Thursday, and Quakertown (3-10, 1-8) will host Souderton on Thursday.

PENNRIDGE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 2 (25-18, 25-20, 14-25, 24-26, 15-10)
The Rams opened up a 2-0 lead only to watch the Titans battle back into the match, knotting it at 2-2 before the Rams rallied to eke out the win.
For the Titans, junior outside hitter Madison Zagnojny (15 kills, 12 digs, 1 block, 1 ace) and senior opposite hitter Allison Schiesser (15 kills, 2 blocks, 1 dig) both had big nights at the net. Sophomore Carly Scott (16 assists, 2 digs) and junior Pola Sawicka (19 assists, 14 digs, 1 ace, 2 kills) shared setting duties. Freshman libero Olivia Hessenthaler had 19 digs, five assists and one ace while senior defensive specialist Julia Lucci added 10 digs and one ace. Junior outside hitter Lauren Marsland had six kills and five digs, and sophomore middle hitter Lane McLaughlin had four kills, one block and three digs.
Also contributing for the Titans were senior defensive specialist Sarah Murray (6 digs), junior defensive specialist Tegan Boyle (2 digs), junior opposite Jackie Finlaw (1 kill, 2 digs) and senior middle Peyton Snyder (3 aces).
Pennrdige (9-3, 6-1 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks East on Thursday, and Central Bucks South (5-9, 3-5) will be on the road at Central Bucks West on Thursday.

NORTH PENN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1
The Patriots left it all on the court in Tuesday’s Senior Night match, but it wasn’t enough to beat the visiting Knights.
East was appropriately led by its seniors with Calli Pasternack (11 digs and 1 ace), Emily Arslan (20 assists and 10 digs), and Catie Tomlinson (14 kills, 6 aces and 9 digs) all delivering standout performances. Their supporting cast for the night included our junior stars (Regina Mathur - 4 kills and 14 digs, Ava Barnum - 2 kills and 1 block, Arya Haridas - 4 digs and 1 ace, Sophia Schwartz - 1 kill, 1 dig and 1 block, and Mia Mettille - 8 assists, 3 digs, 1kill and 1 ace) as well as our three Fab Freshmen (Ali Minacci - 5 kills and 4 blocks, Summer Darling - 2 kills and 1 block, and Brynne Vonder Schmalz - 7 digs and 1 ace).
North Penn (5-8, 5-4 SOL) will travel to Conestoga for a non-league match Thursday, and Central Bucks East (1-12, 1-8) will host Pennridge on Thursday.

SOL American Conference

ABINGTON 3, WISSAHICKON 0

NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 3, CHELTENHAM 0

UPPER DUBLIN 3, GWYNEDD MERCY 2

The Flying Cardinals used a team effort to earn a five-set win in Tuesday’s non-league match.
Setter Kaitlyn Small dished out 36 assists in a busy night and also had 18 digs, three kills, two aces and one block. Reese Mackey finished with a double-double – 11 kills, 11 digs. Brooke Kinsley had nine kills, one ace, one assist and 11 digs, and Janis Andrulonis added nine kills, one ace, on assist and seven digs. Madison Small finished with seven kills and one block, Alisa Zeng contributed 12 digs, four aces and two assists, Natalie Marshall had two kills, one ace and four digs, and Shanley Joyce had four kills and one block.
Upper Dublin (7-6, 5-3 SOL) will travel to Cheltenham on Thursday.
