Non-league
PENNSBURY 3, NORTH PENN 0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-18)

Pennsbury earned a hard-fought sweep  over the visiting Knights.
“North Penn scouted us well, and thankfully, showed us what we need to focus on moving forward,” Pennsbury coach Bob Burns said.
Brigitte Burns (8 Kills, 0.389 hitting percentage, 5 digs, 3 aces) and Nyla Hamburg (7 Kills, 0.313 hitting percentage, 4 digs, 2 aces, 11 assists) led the Falcons. Reagan Perate added three kills on three attempts (1.000 hitting percentage). Madara Bungs added five kills, five aces, and five digs. Annika Foundos had six kills (0.273 hitting percentage). Rylie had two aces in a huge service run. Annalise Dignan had 14 assists and five digs.
Pennsbury will travel to Hatboro-Horsham on Wednesday, and North Penn will host Lower Merion on Wednesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, NORRISTOWN 0
The Lady Patriots kicked off the 2024 season with a strong performance against Norristown. Strong team serving was the key to the fast start, with the team recording twenty-two service aces. Mia Mettille (6 aces), Brynne Vonder Schmalz (5 aces) and Arya Haridas (5 aces) led the way. Defense was also on display, with several players (Regina Mathur, Sophia Schwartz and Jillian Walworth) recording key digs. The offensive attack was led by Ali Minacci and Mia Rivera (3 kills each).
Central Bucks East will travel to Villa Joseph Marie for a non-league match Tuesday.

ABINGTON 3, GERMANTOWN ACADEMY 0 (25-18, 25-19, 24-26)
The Ghosts earned a sweep over the host Patriots in Monday’s non-league match.
Setter Mary Carter’s 27 assists set the tone for the win. Sasha Moody (12 kills) and Sofia Heininger (8 kills) combined for 20 kills. Maddie Peltzer added four blocks.
Abington will host Plymouth Whitemarsh on Thursday.

FAITH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-13)
The Panther came up short in Monday’s non-league contest against Faith Christian.
For the Panthers, Bella Mooney led the attack with six kills, and Zoe Hartley had three aces.
Setter Genevieve Clark led the defense with nine digs and had 10 assists.
Quakertown will host Wissahickon on Tuesday.
