COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-22)
The Golden Hawks earned a sweep of their neighboring rival to remain perfect on the young season.
Olivia De Saro (7 kills, 1 block), Edan Kauer (6 kills, 1 ace, 4 digs), Nala Kauer (5 kills, 1 ace), Yana Kotlyarenko (4 kills, 1 block), Rachael Buchnik (4 kills) and Dara Botnik (3 kills) contributed to a balanced attack. Ashlyn Dinan (16 assists) and Rachel Khlemer (9 assists) shared setting responsibilities. Cassidy Melnick’s seven digs led the defense while Cadence Palmer had five digs. Halle Wilson contributed a pair of aces.
"Council Rock South is a very well-coached team," Rock North coach Joe Schweitzer said. "Their defense picked up every loose ball and turned it into offense. We were not able to keep up with the pressure. The positive we take from this match is that we competed from start to finish. With a little more consistency, this result can be turned around."
Olivia Szymkiewicz led the way for CRN with 15 kills on 30 swings. Junior Addison Zarillo added three kills while Seniors Caitlyn Mahle, Liz Butler and Kaitlyn Liedl added two kills apiece. Junior setter Sarah McCafferty had 24 assists.
Council Rock South (5-0, 4-0 SOL) will travel to Haverford for a non-league match Thursday, and Council Rock North (3-3, 1-2) will be on the road at Neshaminy on Thursday.

SOL Continental Conference
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-23)
The Bucks improved to 3-0 in conference play with a sweep of their neighboring rival.
Alexis Barklage had a big night, contributing 12 kills, two digs and one block. Rachel Hu added seven kills, three aces and a team-high 16 digs. Alexa Lee had 11 digs and three assists. Hollis Walton contributed five kills, two aces, four blocks and two digs. Elisa Kremser (16 assists, 1 block) and Erin Ferello (10 assists, 5 aces, 5 digs) shared setting duties. Also contributing were Kya Lynch (3 kills, 2 blocks), Lily Rasnake (2 kills, 4 digs, 1 block), Stephanie Bahner (2 kills, 1 block), Amber Woodring (2 aces, 4 digs) and Maggie Meglio (1 kill, 1 block).
For the Titans, junior outside hitter Maddy Zagnojny led a balanced attack with eight kills and three digs while Lauren Marsland added six kills and nine digs and Ally Schiesser had six kills, one assist and four digs. Freshman libero Olivia Hessenthaler led the defense with 12 digs to go along with two aces and two assists while senior defensive specialist Julia Lucci added 11 digs, two aces and one kill). Sharing setting duties were sophomore Carly Scott (12 assists, 6 digs, 3 kills, 1 ace) and junior Pola Sawicka (14 assists, 6 digs, 1 ace). Also contributing were Jackie Finlaw (3 kills, 3 digs), Peyton Snyder (3 kills, 4 digs) and Sarah Murray (5 digs).
Central Bucks West (5-1, 3-0 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks East Wednesday, and Central Bucks South (3-4, 1-3) will host Central Bucks West on Wednesday.
SOUDERTON 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-10, 26-24, 25-20)
The Indians picked up their third conference win without a loss, earning a sweep of the visiting Panthers.
McKenna Murawski’s nine kills led the attack. She also had three aces and five digs. Kay Guessford contributed five kills, four aces and three digs. Setter Margaret Donnelly had 11 assists and two digs. Zoe Folk led the defense with 10 digs to go along with two assists and three aces. Ella Rothenberger (2 aces, 2 blocks) and Lauren Vince (2 kills, 3 aces, 3 digs, 1 block) also contributed,
For the Panthers, setter Genevieve Clark had 10 assists, five digs and one ace. Cece Bates contributed five kills and nine digs. Grace White led the Panthers’ service game with six aces to go with two kills, two blocks and three digs. Colleen Gallagher had eight digs, and Meghan Steiert had four. Ellie White (2 kills, 2 blocks), Mia Handschumacher (1 kill, 2 blocks, 3 digs) and Krysalyn Juchno (2 kills, 1 ace) also contributed.
Souderton (6-1, 3-0 SOL) will travel to Pennridge on Thursday, and Quakertown (1-4, 0-4) will host Upper Perkiomen in a non-league match Thursday.
PENNRIDGE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0
The Rams notched a sweep over the visiting Patriots to up their conference record to 3-0.
The Patriots’ offense was co-directed by Mia Mettille (6 assists, 4 kills, 3 digs and 2 aces) and Emily Arslan (5 assists and 1 dig). At the other end of those assists were primarily Sophia Schwartz (5 kills and 1 block) and Catie Tomlinson (4 kills, 3 digs and 1 ace). Defensively, the Patriots were led by Arya Haridas (5 digs and 1 ace) and Regina Mathur (5 digs and one 1 ace)
Pennridge (4-2, 3-0 SOL) will host Souderton on Thursday, and Central Bucks East (1-6, 1-3)will host Central Bucks West on Wednesday.
SOL American Conference
ABINGTON 3, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-13, 25-22)
The Lions earned a win in the second set to even Tuesday’s match 1-1, but the Ghosts closed out the match with two straight wins.
Setter Mary Carter dished out 27 assists and also had five kills. Sasha Moody (14 kills), Liz Tanis (11 kills, 4 blocks) and Sofie Heininger (7 kills) led the Ghosts at the net. Liv Kraft’s 11 digs led the defense while Iris Winegrad had 10 digs. Kaelyn Kosik contributed seven digs and two blocks.
Abington (5-1, 3-1 SOL) will travel to Plymouth Whitemarsh on Thursday, and New Hope-Solebury (6-1, 3-1) will host George School in a non-league match Thursday.
