SOL National Conference
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, NESHAMINY 0 (29-27, 25-11, 28-26)
The Indians earned a sweep, but they had to work for this one, staging a gutsy comeback in the opening set.
"The team took a step forward today,” Rock North coach Joe Schweitzer said. “We were down 24-20 in the first set and not playing our best volleyball. The team hung in there and pulled out a win on the first set. We stress One Team, One Heartbeat. It takes three good contacts to win a point. We play one contact at a time."
Junior setter Sara McCafferty led the scoring with 38 assists. Sophomore Olivia Szymkiewicz lend the way with 16 kills, Senior Kaitlyn Liedl had 11 kills and Junior Addison Zarillo added nine kills.
“In order to have success attacking, you need great passing,” Schweitzer said. “Senior Libero Emma McNulty passed a gaudy 2.33 on 21 chances to set up the offense.”
