COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, HATBORO-HORSHAM 1
The Golden Hawks received contributions up and down their lineup in their four-set win over the visiting Hatters.
Setter Ashlyn Dinan had 13 assists, four digs and two aces. Lindsey Korn led the defense with 22 digs while Edan Kauer’s nine kills led the Hawks at the net. She also had eight digs and six aces. Nala Kauer added six kills, six digs and one ace. Also contributing were Shani Sun (2 digs, 2 kills, 1 block), Olivia DeSaro (6 digs, 1 kill), Cadence Palmer (5 digs) and Cassidy Melnick (4 aces).
Gracie DeSaro, Dara Botnick and Rachael Buchnik were credited for their solid play at the net.
Council Rock South (7-2, 4-0 SOL) will host New Hope-Solebury on Tuesday, and Hatboro-Horsham (1-5, 0-3) will host Cheltenham on Tuesday.
BENSALEM 3, CHELTENHAM 0 (25-7, 25-17, 25-21)
The Owls rolled to a sweep of the Panthers that was a collective team win.
Chloe Costello led the defense with 13 digs while Mackenzie Kramer was a force at the net with five blocks. Talia DiMichele had four aces.
Bensalem (5-3, 2-2 SOL) will host Bensalem on Tuesday, and Cheltenham (0-5, 0-3) will host Abington on Tuesday.
QUAKERTOWN 3, HARRY S TRUMAN 0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-11)
Kayla Sicher’s 11 kills led a solid team effort for the Panthers in Monday’s win. Sicher also had one ace and two digs. Grace White added five kills, two aces and two blocks. Erica Gildea’s eight aces led a strong service game. She also had six digs. Setter Anna Skogen had 11 assists, two kills, three aces and five digs.
Also making contributions for the Panthers were Cece Bates (3 kills, 1 block), Ellie White (2 blocks, 1 ace), Mia Handschumacher (1 block), Kiele Magalengo (1 block), Carissa Ievers (4 aces, 2 digs, 4 assists), Cora Moll (1 assists), Katelyn Martinez (2 aces, 2 digs), Colleen Gallagher (1 ace) and Ella Banas (1 dig).
Quakertown (2-5, 1-3 SOL) will host North Penn on Wednesday, and Harry S Truman (0-5, 0-3) will host William Tennent on Tuesday.
SOUDERTON 3, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-17)
McKenna Murawski and Teya McConaha were double trouble at the net for the Patriots, both finishing with 12 kills to lead the Indians. Murawski also had one ace and seven digs while McConaha had two aces, six digs and one block. Alex Mazzeo’s 16 digs led the defense. She also had two kills, one ace and one assist. Setter Grace Boyd handed out 28 assists and also had four digs and one ace. Souderton (5-2, 2-1 SOL) will host Pennridge on Tuesday.
