PENNSBURY 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-16)
The Falcons came up strong against the visiting Panthers, winning in three sets.
Kiera Rogan led a team effort with seven kills, four digs and five aces. Natalie Johnson had five kills and three blocks. Kiersten Adair and Claire MacElroy both had four kills and one block. Also contributing for the Falcons were Ella Visco (3 kills, 1 block) Ainsley Dysart (2 kills, 1 block), Kira Sendlock (2 kills) and Jocelyn Fang (1 kill). Stephanie Adamousky served up three aces and Sami Love served up two aces. Setters Faith Szumagila and Caroline Croteau (2 Aces) combined for a total of 26 assists.
Pennsbury (9-1 6-1 SOL) is on the road against Council Rock North on Monday, and William Tennent (7-4, 4-3) will travel to Bensalem Monday.
COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, BENSALEM 0
The Golden Hawks remained perfect in conference play with a sweep of the Owls, and in this one, they received contributions up and down their lineup.
Setter Ashlyn Dinan spread the ball around, finishing with 20 assists and four digs. Rachel Khelmer (4 assists) and Gina Caraccio (3 digs, 4 assists, 3 aces) also contributed to the setting duties. Olivia De Saro (9 kills, 2 digs, 3 aces) and Edan Kauer (8 kills, 3 aces) led the Golden Hawks’ attack. Also contributing were Dara Botnick (1 block, 1 kill), Gracie De Saro (1 kills, 2 blocks), Rachael Buchnik (1 block, 1 kill), Shani Sun (4 kills), Yana Kotlyarenko (3 kills), Sara Gannon 2 kills), Lindsey Korn (2 digs, 2 aces), Cadence Palmer (2 aces) and Cassidy Melnick (3 aces).
Council Rock South (11-2, 7-0 SOL) will host Neshaminy on Monday, and Bensalem (6-7, 2-5) will host William Tennent on Monday.
SOL Continental
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 (25-21, 2521, 25-18)
In a battle of sister schools, it was the Patriots – who own a share of the conference top spot with CB West – notching a sweep of the Titans.
Sam Sharp (10 kills, 1 ace, 1 dig), Maddy Ware (8 kills, 8 digs, 1 block), Kate Malobisky (7 kills, 2 digs, 1 ace) and Aimee Wolf (7 kills, 1 ace, 1 dig, 1 block, 1 assist) led a balanced East attack at the net. Setter Katie Monaghan handed out 31 assists and also led the service game (6 aces) and defense (9 digs). Mia Mettille added eight assists, five aces and two digs. Also contributing were Steph Bahner (4 kills) and Arya Haridas (2 aces, 5 digs).
Central Bucks East (6-5, 6-1 SOL) will host Souderton on Monday, and Central Bucks South (1-12, 0-7) will host Quakertown on Monday.
NORTH PENN 3, SOUDERTON 2 (25-19, 25-20, 19-25, 17-25, 8-15)
The Knights rallied from a 2-0 set deficit to win the next three, earning the grueling five-set win.
For the Indians, Teya McConaha (12 kills, 3 aces, 6 digs) led the way at the net. McKenna Murawski was key on both attack and defense, finishing with 11 kills, 14 digs and three aces. Setter Grace Boyd had 24 assists and 13 digs while Alexa Mazzeo led the defense with 17 digs, one kill, two assists and one ace. Kay Guessford led the Indians’ service game with six aces to go along with seven digs and one kill.
North Penn (6-6, 3-4 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks West on Monday, and Souderton (7-4, 4-3) will be on the road at Central Bucks East on Monday.
