CB West was defeated by Souderton 0-3 at home on September 5. Despite the loss, West played with tenacity, even fighting to a 26-28 score during the first set. The Bucks continued to push through three games and forced Souderton to earn every point. West kept the ball in play and worked collaboratively throughout their effort. Notable performances were seen from middle hitter Ava Streibig, who played aggressively wherever coaches put her on the court. Outside hitter Kya Lynch had a consistently solid effort and play on both offense and defense tonight, keeping the ball alive at times when it was needed, and leading her team in both kills and digs. Overall, the development in West’s program shows through its players; there is passion, grit, and tenacity that will only continue to grow and improve throughout the season.
Souderton (3-2, 1-2 SOL) will be on the road at Central Bucks South Tuesday, and Central Bucks West (1-5, 1-2) will host Boyertown in a non-league match Saturday at noon.
