SOL Girls' Volleyball Wrap (9-8-16)

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, PENNSBURY 0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-22)
The Bucks fought off a tough opponent in a sweltering hot gym, sweeping the visiting Falcons. Each game provided some great rallies and quality play from both teams.
Leading the Bucks were Katie Hudson (nine kills, four aces, 12 digs), Kayla King (30 assists, three aces, three kills, 12 digs), April Neeld (nine kills, 12 digs) and Kailey Prall (15 digs). Lauren McNamee (seven kills), Casey Taylor (two kills, three aces, nine digs) and Mackenzie Brooks (four kills, six digs) also made significant contributions.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, CARDINAL O’HARA 2 (26-24, 17-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-11)
In a classic non-league battle, the Hatters rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat PCL power O’Hara.
“This is one of the most amazing high school matches I’ve seen in a long time,” coach Jon Young said. “Cardinal O’Hara is a straight up phenomenal program, and their team was truly impressive on all sides of the ball and surely will be a huge competitor at the district level.
“Their offense was virtually unstoppable. It was a crazy long marathon of five sets.”
Outside hitter Holly Owen turned in a monster performance, finishing with 33 kills and nine digs. Middle hitter Victoria Rapak had seven kills on 13 attempts to go along with two solo blocks. Allison Laucella had 23 digs and two aces while Rachel Dittus was impressive running the offense, finishing with 43 assists.
According to Young, Hatboro served at a 92.2 percent efficiency, missing only eight serves in 103 attempts.
Hatboro-Horsham (3-0) will put its perfect record on the line against Upper Dublin on Friday.

LANSDALE CATHOLIC 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 1 (25-20, 25-22, 15-25, 25-14)
The Titans lost a tough non-league battle to the Crusaders. Senior outside hitter Megan Manderson had another big night, contributing 16 kills, 12 digs and four aces. Senior libero Morgan McCrory also had a busy night, finishing with 37 digs, three aces and two kills. Senior middle blocker Sydney Hauser had five blocks and three kills. Junior setter Erica Werner had 17 assists and six digs, and junior setter Kelly Danyluck had 14 assists, three kills and 12 digs.
