PENNSBURY 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-21)
The Falcons earned a sweep over the Bucks, but it was hard earned.
Julie Vreeswyk (14 kills, three aces, four digs) and Elley Torres (10 kills, nine digs, one block) led the Falcons at the net. Sydney Buell added seven kills and a team-high six service aces. She also had eight digs and one block. Heather Linker led the defense with 12 digs. Setter Kiley Buckman had 34 assists, four digs and one service ace.
For the Bucks, Amanda Mass (nine kills, three blocks) and Katie Hudson (nine kills, one block, four digs) led the way at the net. Mackenzie Brooks added five kills, one ace and four digs. Setter Ana Claricurzio had one ace, 21 assists and 10 digs. Maggie Winderman contributed 17 digs, one ace and two assists, and Naomi Woo had three blocks and one kill. Casey Taylor added two aces, one kill, one block and five digs.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-20).
The Falcons earned a sweep of the Patriots, but East coach Kerri Rabberman had nothing but good things to say about the match.
“It was a great volleyball match with two great teams playing against each other and fighting for every ball, every point,” the Patriots’ coach said. “You could tell that both teams wanted this match, and it will be very exciting when we meet again. North played great.”
Alyssa Coates led the Indians at the net with 10 kills to go along with five digs. Mackenzie Tinner added six kills, and Maddy Moore had five kills, two aces and a team-high 14 digs. Setter Sarah Caola had 20 assists and six digs. Grace Schweizer added 10 digs and four service aces. Jill Schweizer had seven digs and two aces.
For the Patriots, Jenn Krzeminski led the way at the net with 11 kills and four aces. Setter Anna Ritter had 18 assists, and Aurora Budson had three kills. Morgan Beakley led the defense with 14 digs, and Morgan D’Angelo, according to Rabberman, played solid defense and also had three aces. Ysabelle Minschwaner added five kills and “constant hustle.”
“Julie Byrne played not in her typical position and gave such a positive spark to the CB East squad,” Rabberman said. “I am very proud of how she stepped in and took the challenge.”

HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, UPPER DUBLIN 0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-20)
Junior Rachel Dittus led the Hatters’ offense with 40 assists. Sophomore outside hitter Cam Wild led the team in kills with 15 to go along with six digs and an ace. Sophomore middle hitter MaryKate Scully had nine kills. Senior outside hitter Katerina Yankanich had nine kills, two aces and 25 digs. Senior libero Maddie Kallmeyer had 21 digs and one ace. Senior middle hitter Julia Heinze added four kills to the mix. Sophomore defensive specialist Jule Gibbons had a great night on the service line with six aces. 

SOUDERTON 3, NORTH PENN 1 (19-25, 25-17, 25-21, 27-25)
The visiting Indians dropped the first set but rallied to win the next two.
Setter Talia Watson had 30 assists, four kills, six digs and three aces. Maria Ievolino had a big night, finishing with 14 kills, 12 digs, three blocks and two aces, and Tori Reiner had nine kills. Haley Novak had eight kills, 11 digs and six aces. Bella Mazzeo led the defense with 16 digs and two aces. Zoe Kondel (two kills, two blocks) and Erin Brady (five blocks) also contributed.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, HARRY S TRUMAN 0 (25-6, 25-9, 25-19)
The Golden Hawks were led by Ariana Ranieri (three aces, two kills, 30 digs) and Hannah Sullivan (one ace, two kills and four blocks).

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 0
The Panthers suffered a setback when they lost Nicole Long to an injury after the first set.
“Our team really played hard and made South work,” Tennent coach Brian Bassler said. “I am extremely proud of our seniors and younger players who stepped up tonight.
“If we continue to play like this and gain consistency, the wins will come.”
Kelsey O’Shea had five aces and 15 digs. Steph Woolston had a strong match at libero with 40 digs. Devyn Cobb had six kills and six blocks to lead the way at the net.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3, WISSAHICKON 0 (25-6, 25-10, 25-11)

Thursday, Sept. 7
ABINGTON 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-13)
Kayley Ehnow led the Ghosts at the net with 14 kills, and setter Anna Bantner had 26 assists.
