The Indians clinched a tie for the National Conference title with Council Rock South.
Goals by Raleigh Damico and Billy McConnell put Rock up 2-0 at the half.
The Redskins nearly came back, scoring with nine minutes left but missing a penalty kick as time expired.
Council Rock North has put together a remarkable second half of the season, going 6-0-1 with five straight shutouts. The Indians only gave up two goals, one to William Tennent and the other to Neshaminy.
“Hopefully we can string together a few more wins and play for a couple of more weeks,” said North coach Wendell Beres. “We’re definitely a much better team than we were two weeks ago.”

Neshaminy 4, Council Rock North 2
The Redskins avenged an earlier loss to North to lock up third place. They fell short of North by one point.
“It was a nice way to end the season on a positive note and with some momentum going into districts,” said coach Rachel Clemens.
Alyssa Kirk spotted Neshaminy a 1-0 lead five minutes into the game on a free kick, but the Indians retaliated with a pair of second half goals by Caitlin Hannagan and Kaitlin McNamara to go up 2-1.
Redskin right back Megan Kelly boomed a long ball that evaded the Rock keeper to tie the score.
Kirk then scored the game winner on a second free kick before freshman Megan Schafer added an insurance goal.
North coach Roman Escobar complimented his defense for keeping Schafer under control. Clemens noted that the Indians defender Andrea Mateer was instrumental in that.
Neshaminy finished its season at 12-3-2 overall and 10-2-2 in the league.

The Patriots locked up their third Continental title in four years.

“It took a lot of commitment and perseverance,” said coach Mike Gorni of his team’s most recent title. “This one was difficult. The parity in the league was crazy this year.”
Unfortunately, the Patriots suffered another injury, this time to Kenny Haug who was taken to the hospital for stitches after getting elbowed in the head.
East finished the league at 9-2-3 and is 10-4-3 overall with one non-league game against Holy Ghost.
